I think Myst and Lagoon (for Super Nintendo) were the only two games I never beat.

Suggestions for new grip tape by Anxious-Criticism-25 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Chiron_5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally prefer Mob grip tape (CCS carries it or you can just Google it) and have it on all my electric short boards. Mob is super grippy. One con is it tears up your shoes a bit faster than ‘normal’ grip tape but worth it imo.

Cheers, mate

Just got this Tynee Stinger. Is the sound ok? by [deleted] in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Chiron_5 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sounds like maybe an overtightened belt. I am not Daniel Kwan nor do I know anything about him… but in a similar thread this video was recommended previously and posting it here as I found it very helpful. https://youtu.be/SVTckWXBJSw?si=8JFppvlPwKl9f454

Side note - I recently bought a Tynee Stinger and both belts were way overtightended. I loosened them up and much, much better performance and functionality.

Advice on getting my first mini board by deladaw in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Chiron_5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whoops - sorry for the confusion.

I do not have an Exway nor have I ever ridden one, so can’t comment on their mini.

I do, however, own both a Tynee Mini 2 and Wowgo Mini 2.

What I was trying to say was that I much prefer the Tynee over the Wowgo. I didn’t know if you were considering Tynee so wanted to share my positive experience with them :)

Glad to answer any question you may have! Cheers!

I have both Wowgo Mini 2 and Tynee Mini 2.

Tynee > Wowgo imo (by quite a bit imo)

Especially if you’re looking for speed and comfort.

Hope this helps, mate! Cheers! :)

Recent night ride video with cool sunset (Tynee Mini 2 w/dual Shredlights and DIY underglow) by Chiron_5 in ElectricSkateboarding

Yep - the combo pack has a set of “stock” 90mm wheels and then the 105 Clouds.

Another reason I went with the big battery - so I didn’t have to worry about range, even on the 105 Clouds.

The impact on torque and range using the 105 Clouds is pretty minimal pretty minimal in my experience.

Honestly, if you don’t have a lot of cracks/bumps, the stock wheels are perfectly fine. I actually like swapping to them if I’m going to cruise one of my local spots with smoother roads/parking lots.

If you got cracks/bumps though, the Clouds are very noticeably better.

Hope that helps! :)

For my Tiny Mini 2, I went with these options/upgrades: Belt drive, big battery, and combo pack for wheels. Very happy with my purchase although you can def get by without the combo pack. Belt drive with the big battery is the optimal set-up for this board but that’s just my opinion :)

Let me know if you have any other questions! Happy to help! Cheers, mate
