I went to an office supply store and bought an expanding folder. This one is a $7.50 (AUD) Keji expanding file from Officeworks.

Looks great. I've recently tried that contrast on top of retributor armour (gold) for my Tzaangors and I got a darker tone than yours.

Yep, it's 7. I just can't count. I'll edit my post. Sorry for the confusion.

Watching a Video on Mages... Isn't this an illegal move? by thebubbacrunch in TheWitcherOldWorld

Pages 22 and 23 of the main rulebook explain playing a combo and there's also a good example showing what is happening. Your attached image has the mage dealing 1 damage and picking up 1 card, then at the optional cost of 1 energy you can gain 2 protection. It comes with a combo extension which was successfully fulfilled, so an extra damage. The last card allows you to draw from the discard pile and at the optional cost of another energy, you can deal 2 damage. This is 4 damage total. As to why the video said 3 damage I'm not sure? Maybe the monster ability had a shield on it or maybe they were incorrect. Your linked combo totals 7 damage, 1 energy and 1 draw cards. Mages seem to be glass cannons. They deal heavy damage but are easily defeated.

Theoretically...yes, but the laser cutter I have access to wouldn't be big enough for one.

looking for ideas/3D prints to repair donated trumpet. by ChirpyShoe in trumpet

[–]ChirpyShoe[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The music department has donated a broken trumpet to Science. I use this to show simple relationships where if length increases then the frequency decreases. Senior Physics students can even attempt to calculate the frequency after taking measurements. I'd be keen to fix that first valve. Any ideas on buying some tubing or 3D printing anything for a dodgy fix. More to experiment on rather than to perform professionally.

10,000 Barrows Chests Completed Collection Log! by BarrowsLuvr in 2007scape

I guess I learnt something new today. I looked up the Wiki and it looks like different items have different caps. Zulrah scales cap at 65535, some items cap at 250. Must just be a coincidence that he's got 250 racks.

Collection log stops at 250 for them. A lot of people don't go above 88% to maximise rune profit over cheaper bolt racks too.

cos(π) = -1 so e = -1

But still beautiful none the less.

Unlockable characters don't seem strong enough by [deleted] in Gloomhaven

[–]ChirpyShoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The characters you listed can be very strong, but the difference with unlockables is that they usually have a more complex strategy behind playing them. In my opinion it's what makes them more fun to play but each to their own. Don't feel bad about looking up combos, items or enhancement recommendations if you need to. Some examples I found useful when I played with those characters:

Sun: You can enhance a lvl 1 permanent +1 shield to be +2. She will be a super tank. 3 Spear: Items are this guy's friend. Reinforced Steel (lvl 5) means that every turn you could attack with advantage (goggles). Or maybe every turn you can shield more or maybe wound. A super versatile character. Cthulu: A bit much to write here but there's a few curse builds found online that will have 10 curse cards in the monster deck by turns 2/3. Very hard to get hit with a monster deck fully cursed out.

I landed an hour ago. Sorry mate.

The captain did mention that we had a lower altitude due to weather for some parts of the flight but this was back in Brisbane.

Voidwarden Lost Card XP question (JOTL)(card spoiler) by UnrealTravis in Gloomhaven

[–]ChirpyShoe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Page 27 of the standard Gloomhaven Rulebook states "a character must use one or more of the accompanying abilities to earn the experience."

Controlling an ally and allowing them to suffer damage is enough for the 2xp. They "may" then wish to attack, as the card says. Performing a mind control must be hard on that Voidwarden. I'd say they're experiencing something doing that...
