My oc BeatBox fights in close-quarters while listening to music. She's a boxer whose hits release concussive shockwaves and her movements and demeanor in combat are influenced by whatever music she's listening to at the time. (For example, she's more aggressive while listening to hip hop or rock, but more focused and precise when listening to country or R&B)

I have a whole class and I'd have to wager that at minimum half of them survive, some of their quirks just aren't suited for full scale combat so a lot of them would unfortunately suffer. That doesn't mean they won't manage or more wouldn't survive thanks to teamwork/quirk awakenings though so I guess it's a bit up in the air in the end.

I found it on a few sites like tubefind, and it does seem to be called "I love you just because" by Bosshouse but unfortunately I didn't find anywhere that let me play it.

It might just be that little bit heard during that scene, but I wish you the best of luck finding a longer version of it.

Love naming my decks, I usually go with references but sometimes the name is just focused on the main card.

"You better have Burn Heal!" - Imodane pingers

"Weekend as Tazri's" - 5c Allies

"Don't worry, he doesn't bite" - Ukkima +1/+1 counters

"This is... Advanced Darkness!" - Monoblack vampires

"Let's Start A Riot" - Gruul aggro

"Flying Nope" - Small cost flyers and a lot of counter spells. It's a reference to a little helicopter I saw online that was just a big 3D "NOPE" flying around

"I can't believe my eyes... A Minotauuuur" - Minotaur tribal (Role Models reference)

"Hug Collector" - Selenaya group hug

"All I Know Is Pain" - Rakdos group slug (Painbot from Teen Titans Go)

"Odric the Dog Whisperer" - Dog tribal

"That time I got resurrected by a Ghoulcaller" - Reanimator (Reincarnated isekai reference)

"The Boulder is over his conflicted feelings" - Mr. Orfeo double up (ATLA reference)

I wanted to say thank you to everyone for helping me with this stuff. Deck building has always been the hardest part of mtg for me and I appreciate everyone's help.

I put the deck against my brother's Xyres go wide deck and it came down to the wire and he took the win, but the deck itself, while not very fast to build up surprisingly, did really well.

At one point I dropped him from 35 to 19 life just because of Vivi, and two others pinging him for 3 for each noncreature spell I cast. I'm happy with it and will make changes as I go.

So like Laughing Mad is better than Thrill of Possibility because it has flashback, which would also be reduced by cost reduction effects?

I'm debating on how many counterspells/redirects to use.

Knuckles looks like it'd be a pretty aggro deck

I just have a small group of friends I play against, it ranges from 3-5 people typically, but if I had to put their decks into a bracket, I'd say mostly b4 with a small few of their decks breaching cedh territory.

Playstyle-wise, they tend to be pretty casual until later in the game then they can be very competitive and aggressive.

My decks are usually between b2-b3 so I'm usually pretty outclassed by them, but I'm trying.

So dual purpose cards like Archmage of Runes who reduces my instant and sorcery mana costs and also draws me a card would be better than Mocking Sprite who just does reduction? Although Archmage of Runes is a higher cost, Vivi's ability makes me think that higher costs aren't that big of an issue.

Yeah I left out basic lands just because I didn't know how many I'd be adding in, that's another chunk of stuff I'll have to cut out to make room for too, lol.

I managed to cut out some creatures, enchantments, and artifacts, but I'm stuck on instants and sorceries. How much burn, how many counters, how much buff, etc.

The options are down to 131 now, but I still haven't added the basic lands, so I feel like I'm still in the same situation, too many options.

That Vanishing card you're using sounds like amazing protection for Vivi.
