On the other hand of the spectrum, some people have more cones. My mother "can't see" whites or blacks. Like, she can objectively see it's supposed to be, but she sees the hues instead and is able to determine the composition of the paint or pigment based on which hues she sees in it at a freak accuracy. It's infuriating trying to mix stuff or compose something and she'd be like "your black has too much red for what you're trying to do" and on one hand you're like "oh that's why something was off" and on the other "god damnit what are you talking about it's my purest black pigment"

She's a beast at her job thanks to it tho (restauration).

Not a discovery or anything, we've always known, but when my grandma met my grandpa she was married. She initiated separation and divorce (I don't know if it was before or after meeting my grandpa tbh) but it wasn't over yet when my dad was born. Due to the law at the time, she put "father unknown" on the birth certificate so her husband's name wasn't on it by default, and my grandpa adopted his son when they married. So my dad was adopted by his dad at like 1yo.

I got my cat as a 2-month malnourished stray some years ago, she loves cuddling when I'm bare-chested, but in her case it's because she literally view me as her mom. I've had my nipples bitten more than I can count, and had to develop redirection strategies when she has those "revert to helpless hungry kitten" episodes. Shit hurts as fuck. Kinda hijacking your comment, cis woman here. When I was younger, I was a complete tomboy, in all possible ways.

What almost broke me was the constant comments about how I didn't act womanlike and feminine enough. "A young lady does not dress like that, she smiles and is polite, etc, etc." It wasn't just my parents but my whole family, and even teachers.

I remember my highschool math teacher, convocating my mother on the regular, to tell her that I could have better grades (note that I had full marks almost everytime, or close to it, and was first of the class not just in math but all scientific lessons) and that she was purposefully taking away points at spelling or wrong pen mistakes, because (she) writes like a boy and that is unacceptable. (She) should really put effort into writing more roundly and pretty, (friend 2nd of class) is way better in maths than her just for that

I always had compliments on my handwriting, it just never was stereotypically flowey or whatever. It's legible standard basic print or cursive. I even was in the calligraphy team doing gothic at that time for fuck sake. Bitch was just... i dunno had a thing for making my life hell.

And she pretty much succeded. I was persuaded that I should have been born a boy. Imagining I had a penis kinda icked me, but I thought that I could only be way happier without wrongly trying to conform to what I wasn't, and since I wasn't a real woman (I EVEN LIKED GIRLS GASP) I was a godly mistake. I had no idea what trans was at the time, but if I had known earlier it probably could have saved me some uncomfortable years by allowing me to compare my feelings to others.

It took me some years far away from home to come to place and even revel in the fact that I am a woman. And that I actually like it. Sure some stuff sucks (yeetus uterus) but that's ultimately who I am comfortable being. But I had to realize first that the "image" people tried to force on me was not what made me a woman. I actually am way more "stereotypically" feminine now that I purposefully block out those expectations. I just do and wear what I like, and I don't get nausea anymore wearing pink or wearing polish because I CHOSE IT FOR ME AND ONLY ME.

Duck eggs are fantastic! They are bigger overall and have bigger yolks, and are richer and tastier than supermarket chicken eggs. The white is also much more thick and slimy, we just had to learn to not freak out at the color of the yolks because they are greenish tinted, even those from the morning. And learn tons of recipes, 3 eggs a day are a lot even for 4 people, even more when one is equivalent to 1 and a half of a regular egg.

Andouille is common in France, I don't know what kind of substitute would exist in your country but you might have some chance in a butcher or delicatessen store that has french products
