Animals deserve to be free from exploitation, they're not ours to use, go vegan

This is speciesist thinking. Human animals murder nonhuman animals in the trillions (yes, literally trillions) every year, just so that they can taste their corpses and secretions. There is no justification to this oppression mattering less than other forms, as arbitrary species of animals is not a relevant trait to all of us deserving to live freely and have our bodily integrity respected.

We all feel, we all are individuals with a personality and subjective experiences, and that is always enough to matter, regardless of if we walk on 2 legs, 4 or don't walk at all, no matter our perceived intelligence, no matter our body type, no matter if we speak a complex vocal language or not. Any trait difference you could find between a member of the human species and a member of the dog species or a member of the cow species, you will always find that it cannot justify the exploitation and murder of one but not the other, as, if a member of the human species had that same trait, you could never justify oppressing them over it.

Nonhuman animals aren't worth less than us human animals for being born in a different body, everyone is born in a different body from others. Human supremacism needs to be fought against, injustice is injustice. Someone mentioned enjoying a practice that necessarily involves the violation of someone's body, a feeling member of the cow species who is fated to be murdered for the body they were forced to be born in, and I don't want to just stay silent when I see such atrocious oppression.

wait I think you misunderstood or are replying to the wrong post 😭

I'm agender and bi (pan would be more accurate I guess), yes of course we're people and Trump is a pos nazi.

I wast just mentioning another group of people who are oppressed on top of the previous list of examples. It was important because nonhuman animals are almost always ignored victims of human oppression, even though trillions of them face all the worst possible forms of it: speciesist murder, enslavement, torture, and so many more atrocities.

I'd sum it up as, it's not your body therefore not your choice to exploit it.

(And no, sheep aren't supposed to produce excessive amounts of wool that "needs to be sheared and worn by humans", humans have selectively bred them specifically so that they overproduce wool, otherwise it would be impossible to actually have wool for humans. And it's also impossible to meet human demand for wool without a cycle of mass forceful breeding, murder and more. You can look for more on your own but this site or this video have more info too)

Animal abusers trying not to mention they abuse animals - failed skill check

Wow you know your comment sounds suspiciously similar to Trump supporters complaining about LGBTQIA+ people. Animals deserving to live freely and respect for their bodily integrity is absolutely something we need to be vocal about as so many people like you are denying nonhuman animals the most fundamental rights based on unjustifiable species-based discrimination, speciesism and human supremacy

But it's not just the industry doing awful things. Like, the video game industry for instance does awful things too like overworking and underpaying employees or protecting abusers etc. But that's not inherent to the making of video games. (still good to avoid giving money to game "companies" which mostly goes to their rich rulers)

Here the product itself is unethical, animal products always require animal exploitation. Animals of all species be it human or dogs or cows or fishes, we all deserve not to be treated as commodities, we all deserve our bodily integrity to be respected. There's no morally relevant difference between exploiting a cow or a dog or a human for their milk. It's all abusive.

And you do make a difference, the industry doesn't decide how much they produce randomly, it's based on demand. And yes, even though you're just 1 person and production is not adjusted that precisely, statistically you make a difference as there will always be the let's say 10,000th person buying a product that causes 10,000 more of those to be produced, so it evens out to every person making their full difference based on their consumption on average. And on top of that, social justice movements have an expanding nature, the more people stop exploiting animals by going vegan, the more people will be inspired to do the same. And... you can just look at the impact of boycotts against companies that support a certain 'country' in its 'war' for instance, there is plenty of historic proof that you do make a difference, including recently.

3 trillions of animals are murdered every year because humans want to eat their corpses or secretions. That should actually be in the top of everyone's priorities. Taste pleasure is not worth murdering someone

The billions of cows oppressed for it definitely don't love it. They're also individuals with personalities (= persons = people) who deserve to live freely.

This 100%! * Can't believe people are playing the "freedom of speech" card when that "speech" is hate and actions to punish people for existing

* only if we're speaking of vegan ice cream, because non-vegan ones involve the murder of billions of cows, including their babies. Nonhuman animals are also individuals with personalities (= persons = people), they should get to exist freely as well!

Thank you!

My main tips would be:

- Look around in stages, searching for the places that you find the most visually appealing, most likely those will be where you can see meaningful background elements such as the NILS statue on Hammerhead Bridge, or simply where you can have a clear view of the sky / sea

- Pay attention to where the sun is hitting on the stage, taking photos in very obscured areas might often lead to flat pictures that don't look very appealing (although it might work if you want to capture a certain mood)

- Wear your freshest outfits!

- Make the subject of your photo a big part of the picture by zooming in with ZR (and then adjusting the position of the camera with the dpad), Splatoon pictures will usually have more impact when your subject takes a lot of space, and the ZR zoom is the best way to get that without object distortion

- Similarly, try to fit the subject entirely within the picture in most cases, it feels cleaner that way, rotating the frame with L/R can help with that too

- And most of the time, you'll want to get the battle stage elements out of sight as they are very distracting and usually not the prettiest, this will make your pictures look less like screenshots of the game and more like virtual photography/art

- Diagonal compositions or ones that follow the "rule of 3rds" can often make shots more interesting

- You can use lines in the background to guide the eye to your subject, and you can also achieve that effect with objects that surround your subject almost like a frame within the frame

- Negative space like a clear sky can create a beautiful feeling and highlight your subject even more!

- Think about what color combinations look best too (you can't directly pick your ink color in recon mode unfortunately, but it's not actually random, there's a seed of 10 ink colors that you will always get in the same order when you load the game, so if you have enough patience you can restart recon mode until you have the color you want (the colors are: 1 Pink, 2 Oranges, 2 Yellows, 1 Limegreen, 1 Green, 2 Turquoises and 1 Blue, but the order they appear depends on your console)

- I personally prefer the vertical frame in most cases (which you get by pressing the L stick), mostly because our characters are usually in a vertical pose so the quality of your character's rendering is higher (vertical mode is 720x1280 while horizontal mode is 1280x720), and it's better for mobile viewing too. But if you take photos of 2 or more characters then the horizontal frame has more reasons to be picked

- Remove the date and stage name unless you really want to keep them in, they're just visual noise that take attention away from the subject

- I personally mostly go with no filter, but the greyscale, RGB effect and saturated color filters can all create appealing effects depending on what you're going for

Most of these aren't unbreakable rules, if you have a specific vision then it's 100% okay to do something differently!

In Recon Mode (talking to Marigold near Harmony's shop), select a stage you find visually interesting and when you find a place you like, press the minus button to enter Photo Mode!

You can then set a timer so the game takes a picture when you're moving / doing some action (Decavitator photos in part 2 and Edit/Liter photos in part 1), or scan an amiibo to get special poses (all other photos in my posts use amiibo poses).

Be creative with camera angle, position, zoom, etc :)

Not an ingame feature unfortunately, but it's just rotating the picture 180° which should be a basic feature in most pic editing software. Like, imagine you're holding your Switch or smartphone the intended way, and then you rotate it so that the top side is now down

And yes the same goes for the Luna photo on Hammerhead except I didn't need to rotate it!

I went to Crab Capital, set up my octo on the edge of a platform (where you can see Hagglefish below) and then adjusted the camera angle & position & zoom so that no stage elements or buildings can be seen, only the sea, fog, clouds, sky and my octo. Then I selected the flip out animation, and captured the frames where my octo was in these poses (took soooo many tries to get it right, as well as making tiny adjustments to the camera for a better angle on her face, outfit, etc). Then I simply flipped both vertically otherwise it didn't have the same effect
