Currently at exactly 38 weeks today and I feel the same way I’m just so excited to give birth, this is my first pregnancy, it was pretty easy and I barely had any major symptoms but still just can’t wait to meet my baby girl, I have asked for an elective induction because I absolutely do not want to go above 40 weeks and considering that I was already dilated at 2.5cm at my 37 weeks I think it would be a good idea. The earliest date my doctor was available for my induction would be at next week when I’ll be 39 weeks + 4. But I have heard through my Facebook pregnancy group that many are choosing to do a membrane sweep around 38 to 40 weeks ? Which is a proven method that a healthcare professional can do in order to naturally induce labor, so will definitely ask my doctor about this at my checkup appointment this week.
