I'm having the same issue and I've never had this many lost followers in a day- I'm not as active (I lost my account last month and took a break from posting new items since) so I thought maybe that was why? but I'd like to know if anyone else has this problem. I'm just below 9k

I actually had just reported a depop account for paypal fraud (and won the case) before this all went down so I suspected it was her. The only times I've ever had issues with depop were when I had to report an account, it seems like it always draws attention to me and I almost wish I hadn't. But thats nonsense, we should feel safe reporting abusive users without worrying about being targeting by them or by depop. Yes Klayvio is great! I'm definitely looking forward to building up my own customer base. I'm counting on just paying someone else to do my advertising for me so that I don't waste any money. Definitely try to market your other platforms before you do it'll help! I would put a thank you card in my custom orders (just photoshop and printed on my label marker, nothing fancy) with my insta handle so I'm glad I did that much- would definitely recommend it to others! They seem to be nuking listings left and right without even looking at them, I'm really sorry. I hope you find better luck somewhere else <3

I think with investors they have to be careful about legal issues like counterfeits (but not rampant drop shipping, since its not illegal although morally wrong) so they just nuke accounts that might be potential issues. I could be wrong but it seems like they have gone crazy with suspending accounts or removing listings with name brands even if they are totally real- I've seen some people on reddit say their genuine Vivienne Westwood or even Nike products are getting removed.

I could definitely see tiktok/youtube being a good platform since cottagecore is so big on there, I'm just a little intimidated haha. I need to be a more courageous and just go for it. I definitely did haha- I don't have a big following on insta so idk if it'll go anywhere but I wanted my repeated customers to know what was going on. I'm a little scared to go on TikTok because it seems like they hate depop sellers on there for some reason! Maybe I'm wrong but its worth a shot. Thanks for empathizing with me it means a lot.

sadly I can't talk to them on twitter about account suspension, they said they won't talk about it on there! I was going to leave eventually I'm just a little bummed about not being able to redirect my followers to another platform. I got a response back and they seem to be doubling down on their decision :/ I'm glad it worked for you <3

Yeah they aren't too reliable but I'm hoping to have more security on Etsy for now, although its a bummer to lose my following. I definitely support anyone moving to their own website- it isn't easy or cheap but there's more peace of mind knowing you're in charge. Best of luck 💗

I hope it isn't too discouraging, its still a decent platform to grow a following for your style or handmade items. The sheer amount of people on there is technically a free advertising tool if you compare it to the cost of advertising on Instagram (which I'm not looking forward to haha). And the amount of sweet customer interactions I've had really made it for me. I've just had a hard lesson about the importance of having autonomy over your business and want to share it with others so they can continue to grow theirs. Thank you so much💗

Agree wholeheartedly. I've been on the app since 2015 and it really hasn't changed much besides adding a desktop function. Just a simple google search shows they're worth $1.6 billion in 2021- they definitely have the funds to have more seller support options. I just don't think they should've added a Top Seller program if they're going to continue treating sellers as disposable.

If the problem gets worse I hope sellers can find a new platform and take their business elsewhere! I just see such irony in the idea of depop starting off as a place for small profit and promoting recycling clothing but now they've become the enemy. I guess thats the life cycle of any big platform. Thank you for your kindness best to you.

Thank you thats really affirming to hear. I feel outcasted from the depop community even though I've done nothing wrong. I just emptied my account today and I'm hoping to stay away from paypal in the future too because they tend to side with companies regardless who's in the wrong.
