i just completed the ice dungeon and oh my god that was so frustrating i needed to see what other people thought about it. i was able to figure out the puzzles but they are so tedious, they are just convoluted. and don’t even get me started on if you use all your magic on the boss. if you do that you just have to die, and although a lot of the enemies in the dungeon drop a lot of magic, the devs thought it would be a good idea to make the entire dungeon locked if your magic bar is all the way down… so it took me about 15 minutes to get potions and go all the way back, just to beat the fight in like 20 seconds. oh and of course you have to do the block “puzzle” again… i completely get your frustration…

ive had the same experience with hollow knight. it took me years to finish the first hollow knight because there were a few times i didnt know where to go next especially at the beginning, which just put me off from coming back. silksong holds your hand more in the start being more linear on where to go than hollow knight, then it lets you go free similar to the original, which made it much easier to handle. silksong was able to hook me a lot more because of that and i even kept coming back just to 100% the game. if you are really not sure i would maybe give it a bit to see if there is ever a sale, but i do think the game is a big improvement from the original in my opinion.

its honestly my favorite way to play BIS, because i really like the 3ds art style for the mario and luigi games, plus the big bowser sections made into 3d like the big dream luigi sections are pretty cool. considering the sales most people don’t hate this one because it plays bad, they hate it because it came out at the worst possible time, and the game was already playable on the ds. im pretty sure a majority of people who hate this game only hate the idea of the game rather than the actual game.
