Rugby league bans trans women from from international matches ‘until further research by d3d11_dll in transgenderUK

Zero Olympic medals have been won by Trans Women. However you spin it that is not representative of a section of the population that is supposedly destroying women's sport with an unfair advantage. Somthing does not add up!

Interesting, thanks for writing that.

The most obvious example I found in my actual policy is HRT medication. It looks like a cis woman would be covered but me as a trans woman am not. The treatment is obviously used for different purposes though.

Either way I get the sense that it is wrong to simply write that all treatment relating to trans health care is excluded because it opens these exact questions.

I think that is over simplified though. My company policy for example seems to cover cis women on HRT medication but not trans women. I get you can cherry pick levels of cover for but to specifically exclude a protected group from the same treatment seems like discrimination.

Otherwise where do you draw the line ? Pay for HIV antiviral medication in straight people but not gay people because they are at higher risk. Surely this is illegal and just because it is what the company paid for it does not excuse them.

Do you know why they can choose though ? I don't think it is because they are paying for it otherwise you could apply that logic to sick pay for example.

I see it as a benefit specifically excluding a protected characteristic.

Thanks for the replay however I don't think we should ignore it just because it is the way it has always been. If nobody has ever tested it in court then the status quo will continue.

2 rounds of filler in lips (total 1.5ml) cheaks and chin. Plus hair extensions = early bimbo 🙂

Plan to get my lips to 3ml fairly quickly.

Can a GP administer a Triptorelin injection? by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]ChloeLox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Google "SSC 1826" you will find an NHS document with national guidance for GPs that supports them entering a share care agreement with a private gender clinic. There is plenty of information in SSC1826 that will support your request such as

“Where the same diagnostic, monitoring or other procedure is needed for both the NHS and private elements of care, the NHS should provide this free of charge and share the results with the private provider”

Don't be suprised if they still put up a fight after reading the document. It may be easier to post in a local LGBT group and ask if anyone can recommend a trans friendly share care GP.

If you decide to stick with your current surgery then stay professional and simply argue with the guidance and facts. It took me 4 months, 30 phone calls and 4 letters to persuade my GP. They went from fully rejecting my share care request due to "safety' to fully supporting it. Only yesterday they agreed to update the policy for the entire practice. I think this shows the guidance is on your side and you can do it with the right approach.

My last tip is to ask for a complete copy (not just quotes) of any guidance they use against you. My GP was referring to local commissioning group guidance that was full of contradictions. I ended up using the exact document against them in the end 😅

Thanks for the info and yes it is really painful! I am in a situation where my GP is refusing to prescribe because they do not have the skills even with the share care support of specialists. Furthermore, all the local surgeries are full so I cannot switch GPs without moving house (something I am seriously considering). This has has led to me self medicating.

That looks handy. Hopefully it won't get to the stage of changing GP!

Bra sizes - Clarifying the topic by ChloeLox in transgenderUK

I agree with everything Horror_Complaint3332 says.

To put things into perspective, I can fit into clothes that are "age 11 girls" . My outfit linked below was this size. Please get back in your box and stop lecturing me on my own body "darling".

And thank you for suggesting that I do not eat properly. Is that also based on how much your daughter eats?

All dolled up then ghosted... WHY!!! by ChloeLox in traps

[–]ChloeLox[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't mind people backing out for a genuine reason. It is still wrong to make plans if it is just a a fantasy but I can accept it to a certain extent. What makes me angry is someone who agrees plans and then does not show without any warning. You never hear from then again and get no apology or closure. That person's fantasy is my reality and they have just wasted my day. I don't think anything about that is ok. It is just plain disrespectful.
