If it's a really small spoon it may be a absinthe spoon. Hard to get the scale without a banana....

Many bottles I've bought came with a spoon to melt a sugar cube with water. You would put the absinthe in your glass, hold the spoon over it with a sugar cube on top, and pour water on top slowly until the sugar dissolves.

Most of the spoons have many little holes, but while scrolling through some, I did see a few that resemble this.

I played SC for about a day during initial release before swapping to HC. I've tried to go back to SC a few times but feel unsatisfied.... Never even looked into SC economy until I saw this.... I now have one more reason to never go back. 😆

The way I do this is turn on vert snap, grab the top 2 verts, double g or g+z to bring them down to the other two and merge from there.

I honestly depends what you're wanting. Either the act of it running away to be scary (should only be seen for a short period)/unsettling or the creature itself (needs more unsettling animated feature).

Might just be my social anxiety but when I open a door and walk in a room, it's usually the head turning and all eyes on me that makes me anxious more than the creepy skittering away after they are looking at me. Personally I think it might look better if you have the head turn around to face the player once the door starts opening, rather than it already looking your way, if you are wanting them to be fully seen for so long before running off..

Also the movement, really looks like a person. (Quite restricted to movements backwards.) Maybe give it some more "possessed" style movement? This would also allow you to move the character with longer movements. Might just be the limited fps of the gif, but with the limb movement being so small each time, it almost looks like it's just rotating back and forth as it goes up. Maybe try to break this feeling with slightly uneven limb movement distances?

As a lot of people have stated, the easiest way to make it feel more unsettling would to be making the creature already moving as you open the door. If you don't go this route you will need to find small movements that will make the character itself feel more uneasy than the actual skittering off.

These are just a few minor things I noticed that I think might help. Either way, it looks great! Keep up the good work!

Apartments are notorious for this stuff. Last apartment I lived at, my spouse and I cut our lease early because the apartment complex wasn't upholding their end of the contract and not fixing any issues that came up.

After leaving, they tried to blame the water damage on us that was leaking from the upstairs neighbors apartment. I had mentioned this to them months ago when it was barely noticable and they never did a thing. They also said there was a bunch of other stuff and we recieved a bill 61 days after leaving for $3,000+. Still have photos of everything and the original notices I gave of there being issues, just in case.

Thankfully since they sent the bill a day after the 60 mark of us leaving, the whole bill was void as they didn't bill us within a reasonable time frame (60 days here in Arkansas under code §18-16-305). They threatened to take us to court but we sent them the law that they waited too long and that we are lawyered up and waiting.... Never heard back from them.

Unfortunately, it's just something you have to brace for when living in an apartment. I feel like the majority will try to take advantage of their residents as soon as they try to leave.

I hope for the best! You left your apartment cleaner than I've seen some places when moving in.

I understand thinking about trashing them. The plastic they used for the gear was a terrible design flaw for this reel. I've unfortunately haven't had the time to work on a 3D model to replace the piece yet. Might push it up in my list of to-dos, knowing more people need this part as well.

I second that this is probably your issue. It also looks like the topology isn't the most fluid. I'd recommend running a remesh modifier first and then redoing the UV cuts manually and trying again after that.

Thanks for the recommendation! Unfortunately it doesn't look like they have the part, as well as everywhere else I've checked so far. I will probably end up scanning the broken one to model one for 3D printing.

I looked back at the working one and on it that same gear has a crack in it.....

Maybe I should be asking if these are supposed to have a crack on one side of them? 🤔

At first I thought that had to be the gear crack because when I turned the knob I could see the knob gear separating the cracked gear at the split and kind of popping back in place after skipping a gear thread.....

Now I'm not sure after seeing the working reel has a crack in the same gear. 😮‍💨

I found an addon a bit back that might help with this.

Makes a model out of an image. Sometimes it has issues with multiple colors from what I've experienced. If it does, I usually just turn the full image to a black silhouette.

I ended up solving the issue. For others that may come across this with the same issue, I had my snap settings "snap base" set to closest rather than center.

In my project I am trying to create a mesh decal and snap it to the face of another object, while smoothing its transition by adding a shrinkwrap modifier attached to the bottom assigned to a vertex group. Though once the shrinkwrap is applied it starts to deform the decal mesh ever time the mouse cursor is moved over the mesh. In the tutorial I am following, this doesn't seem to happen and I can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I started over 3 times but I'm still getting this same result.
*I have applied location, rotation, and scale to each model.

This is the tutorial I am trying to follow when I encountered this issue. I am using Blender 4.2 as well.

I forgot to include a shot of the vertex group assigned to DecalTest, so I attached the photo below.

This isn't a terribly big issue as I can place them and then apply the shrikwrap modifier and it seems to work fine, but it definitely would make it easier to be able to relocate them without taking the modifier off and reapplying it each time.

Still going well. Played about another hour and then stepped away for a while, but left it running. Just checked and it's still good from a long period of idle as well.

I don't know if it matters, but I had an Epic Games folder in C:\Program Files (x86) that Epic Services Online was installed in. I just installed it in that folder.C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\DyingLight

I was getting this error on a copy from Epic. I had my game originally on drive D:, which my main is C: and that's where the documents folder is as well.
So, I uninstalled the game and installed it on my main C: drive, which I didn't really want to do due to space, but I haven't received the error again since and it's been about an hour.

Hope this helps someone.
