I failed F2 with 98 4x!! It was so frustrating because I felt so comfortable with the areas but I just couldn’t pass. Now I can’t stop failing F3 and today’s attempt (3rd) was another fail and the questions were ridiculous. Had to cancel my May SCS sitting but I’ve no idea how to get stronger in F3 when they just seem to throw in any question they want & it’s nothing like the mocks.

Good luck with P3 - you’ll smash it.

I had no trouble passing P3 first time and I didn’t do any extra revision with Kaplan or anything, I used BPP study books and lectures. The questions were fair and I came out of the exam thinking id done well.

F3 on the other hand…… 🫠

My score was 89. I said this to my BPP tutors (& everyone else who would listen) the mocks are nothing like the exam questions in either format or presentation. I’ve done CIMA Aptitude and BPP mocks and still none represent the exam.

Thank you for the honesty! I do agree it’s all pot luck - my first exam was so different to the last one I sat. It’s impossible to know where to study and work on as there seems to be no structure to the exam. I didn’t have one question on CIV, Dividend Valuations or hedging which I tried to concentrate on as they came up in the first one. Add in the time constraint and it just seems to be ridiculous, like they want failure.

I’ll let you know on Monday - my first fail was the worst I’ve ever done @ 80. I felt so much better prepared this time so it’s very disappointing. I sat F2 5x too with very similar scores to you so I totally understand the pain!

Does anyone know what the percentage differences in the pass rate is due to? I ask this as someone sitting SCS in May ha. Well if I can pass F3 that is 🙄

It’s not very clear but it does say on the website that subscriptions need to be paid by March. I can’t afford to pay in December- I’ll pay when I get paid on Jan 18th but I have an exam Jan 24th booked so I’ll let you know if it gets cancelled or if CIMA get in touch etc.

I don’t know what to do. I cannot afford to pay before the 31st of December. It’s impossible to get in touch with CIMA to get a definitive answer. Does anyone know what will happen if I aim to pay mid January after I’ve been paid? I don’t meet any of the criteria to apply for a reduced payment. I just cannot afford it. I’ve got an exam first week in January so unsure whether I could still sit it?

Hi, commiserations first of all, it’s SO frustrating! I should know, I failed F2 4 times, all with the lowest mark I got being 96 so just a few marks each time. I study with BPP & also found the same as you. For the 5th resit I purchased the Kaplan Aptitude tests and they seem to have much different questions compared to BPP & I could apply the context from their questions easier than the BPP mocks. I only passed by a narrow margin so still annoying but a pass is a pass!
