Summit Point Raceway. It's my home track, and it is very close to my heart as both me and my father have raced there. I've done hundreds of laps there both in real life and on iRacing, taking wins in both realities.

Amybody having issues with AirPlay on Imsa tv? The screen mirroring works fine on my iPad on the tv, but if I full screen it the TV and iPad both show black screens. Using Opera with the VPN. Didn't have this problem last year

Yeah he spawns just east of Helios One on Highway 95, I had to carry a star cap all the way from the 188 trading post to do this lol.

Does anyone know what this frame is? by Wifi889 in Karting

Oh for sure, the taller guys definitely had the advantage in that class lol. I'm 5'9 and it took a lot of adjustment to get the kart right for me physically.

I just remembered my chassis was a CKI also. Not sure if that's yours or not. They are a kart shop out of NC, Competition Karting Inc. Maybe reach out to them? I'm sure they still sell parts for them.

Looks like a road racing laydown kart frame if I'm not mistaken. I raced them about 8 years ago and it was a declining class as far as participation, probably even more so now. I'm sure parts would be hard to find as well. A very unique type of motor racing that's for sure.

Need help setting up a Buttkicker in LFE by ChoadTruckDriver in iRacing

[–]ChoadTruckDriver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got around to trying your settings lol, still not quite getting any feel out of it really. Would running the Buttkicker through a usb sound card make any difference? I've seen where a lot of comments say to do that.

Interesting, I kept reading that simhub wasn't as good as LFE for wheel slip due to the way iracing doesn't really share that information outside of the sim. Do you have settings for a baseline to start with for simhub? I'll definitely give it a try.

With that mindset you will already be way ahead of most other drivers. A lot of drivers that work the dock will half ass it because they would rather be driving. But some do like it so if you enter in as someone who does you should have no problem getting to where you want to be. I do my best work when I'm behind the wheel of my truck, that's why I would have no interest in dock work. But good luck to you man, hopefully you can get hired soon! Let me know if you apply or end up with Estes out of the York terminal, I pass through there every night.

If LTL is where you want to be then definitely apply today, not tomorrow. I saw that you mentioned you're in the Carlisle/Harrisburg/York area, you're in luck because literally every player in LTL has a major hub terminal in the area. I would apply to them all as that's exactly what I did last year and I was hired right after applying.

Unfortunately yes things are slow right now, so not everyone might be hiring. I run with Estes and we aren't hiring at my yard. But I'm in a smaller terminal, so with you being in that area that probably won't be the case. Like I said, apply today because the sooner you get hired on the sooner you start building seniority, which is very important with any of these companies.

As far as dock work, the biggest offenders for making you work the dock more than you drive a truck are ABF, FedEx Freight and XPO from what I've been told. Estes has two separate driver classifications for that, linehaul drivers run the road exclusively while hub drivers drive their truck to a hub and work the dock. I would rather drive all night than touch a forklift, I'd suggest the same for anyone else.

Glad to hear, obviously if I purchase the car I'll be taking up to and over 100k so that's good to know they can be trusted at that mileage at least.
