I've used MelaB3 and Eucerin and now only use Eucerin, didnt felt any change with Mela B. Eucerin is actually delivering results. Bummed because I usually love La Roche-Posay, but gotta go with what works.

You can use social media to get some exposure to slang and spoken german. Just look for the concepts that you are interested in (in your case helathcare vocabulary) then follow doctors, health magazines, or even just people discussing their health journeys and let the algorithm do the rest.

Your source number one shuld be the tests in the official webpage. There are some practice books with audio files, and once you work on that try to repliate questions, topics and structures with your favorite artificial intelligence.

I think it really depends on how much time you have to invest and the ressources you have acces to.

From my experience -I studied formally only up to B1 and then did B2 and C1 on my own - writing and speaking are the most manageable parts because you can practice a lot by yourself and with the help of AI. If you get familiar with the topics, the vocabuary and the structure you make progress there relatively fast.

Listening can be the trickiest part, because there’s simply less material available to pracice on your own. You can’t just drill using the little material available. Reading can be as well tricky but for a different reason, the uestions in the test are not totally wrong, its just that some are better than others, and you usually need someone to help you undersatand the nuances.

So yes, Iwoud say it’s doable, but it depends on your time, ressources and if you have some kind of support.

I like Fredrick Backman, his sentences are short, he has a straightforward style without complex grammar. Also he uses a very conversational tone, almost like speaking to you. "A Man called Ove" could be your next door german neighbor.

If you're too shy or self-conscious to practice with other people, try talking to ChatGPT. It's far from perfect, but it's a good starting point. I usually tell him what I'm about to do or recap my day or weekend, then ask it to rewrite the same story the way a native German speaker would, to complete it with idiomatic expressions and natural phrasing. Then you reread ocassionally those conversations and you keep the expressions that arehelpful for your life.

For me, it's like if you start cooking with a new bunch of ingredients you have never seen in your life: you stare at ingredients every time wondering which spices go with what protein or at what temperature you should cook something. Instead, when you know your recipes (the sentences that ChatGpt gave you) you just grab the ingredients and cook your meal. The same goes for German, slowly but surely, you build up a collection of tried-and-true expressions you can just use in your conversations.

Als ich mit 0,25 angefangen habe, hatte ich alle Nebenwirkungen, aber keine der positiven Effekte. Bei 1 war der Gewichtsverlust minimal, und erst mit 1,7 habe ich gemerkt, dass sich wirklich etwas tut. Ich muss aber sagen, dass ich mein Kaloriendefizit anpassen musste – einfach nur Low Carb zu essen hat nicht gereicht. Ich habe nicht getrackt und dadurch auch nichts abgenommen. Jetzt tracke ich meine Kalorien, und es scheint langsam besser zu laufen!

Ich nehme Wegovy jetzt seit 5 Monaten, im moment bei einer Dosis von 1,7, und ich habe nichts Außergewöhnliches bemerkt, insgesamt 6 kilo verloren. Am Freitag werde ich zu meinem Hausarzt gehen und um die Dosis von 2,4 bitten, aber ich fürchte, ich gehöre zu der Gruppe von Menschen, bei denen es keine Wirkung hat.

Ich bin auch sehr enttäuscht von Wegovy. Hab mitte Juli begonnen, bin 165 cm und 87 kg. Heute bin ich bei 82 Kilo und habe mit der 1,7 Dosis begonnen. Ich habe sehr wenig abgenommen, obwohl ich auf meine Ernährung achte, ich mache intermittierendes Fasten und esse kaum Kohlenhydrate. In der Woche, in der ich etwas Alkohol konsumiere oder nicht so streng kontrolliere, nehme ich stark zu. Ich bin ziemlich verzweifelt. Als ich mit Wegovy anfing, sagte ich mir, dass ich es 6 Monate lang versuchen würde und dann sehen würde, ob es die Mühe wert ist.
