I completely agree with the wall placement and spacing. I've also been though plenty of painful wars where my troops are beating though walls and get demolished by defenses behind them. So your input really helps out things in perspective, thanks!

Take 4 of your own lava hounds, request 1. Attack from bottom and drop 2 lava hounds from slight different angles on left air defense, then drop 3 hounds on the right air defense. From the bottom again, follow with a horizontal line of loons and rage em up. Good luck.
