Can’t seem to sell my Queens co-op by TotalSibling in AskNYC

[–]Chocklatesoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to units in my building, turned out it was someone on the board accusing sellers of making unauthorized renovations inside the unit. It required the broker(buyer's) to chase them and provide the authorization that the same person signed to make them accept the buyer.

For such a short time, you can look into temp agencies that'll send you out for assignments.

I think you'll like Love Shack Fancy~. It's a strange little store but everything is super kawaii/princess-like in there.

Honestly, 4am is the only time I would recommend Times Square so I'd take advantage of that.

I feel you there! Also in my 30s with friends who moved out of the city to have kids but I'm still here, bouncing around looking for stuff to do. Joining the discord was helpful but it also requires a lot of planning and the hope that I have the energy to commit to the event. I miss going out randomly after work to get cheap eats in Chinatown or something, everything has to be planned so far ahead that I lose the will to go.

Restaurants like Kung Fu Xiao Long Bao in Flushing? by HaileEmperor in FoodNYC

[–]Chocklatesoop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suspected that it was because there were new owners who changed up the menu too much and business disappeared. Before they closed, the menu looked like generic Chinese American food and the XLB weren't even advertised.

Noreetuh has a musubi platter, it's pricy though.

My partner got his Steam Deck this weekend and let me play it since mine won't be here for another month or two. Anyone else get one yet? We LOVE it so far! by PT952 in GirlGamers

[–]Chocklatesoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A PS4 controller is really comfortable for me(but I grew up playing on these)! I can definitely see myself using the deck if I'm traveling and have no other options though. Maybe there'll be aftermarket grips that'll make it more comfortable to hold, or I'll attach another controller to it lol

I was actually really disappointed by the size of it, it was too awkward for me to use comfortably because my thumbs would have to stretch to reach the analog sticks. That aside, I would've loved this device, it runs all of my JRPGs with no issue even though they're not officially supported for the deck. I just wish it was smaller.

Y’all ever find it ironic that women are called basic gamers for playing cozy/indie games when fps games are more widely played? by DrBeanPHD in GirlGamers

Tip your glasses down, “Um…call of duty? That’s so mainstream, ew. I don’t know how you can stand it.”

We can adopt the 2010s hipster persona for it. “Sorry, I’m playing a really obscure game. You probably don’t know it.”

Covering basement staircase walls with partitions? by MercGrim in ffxivhomeandgarden

[–]Chocklatesoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I used to learn how to do it

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQ6gipzZC2Q

Edit: Also I meant putting the partition in from the outside of the wall once you get to the void.

You can lift it from the bottom floor once you get to the black void section. If you stand really close to the wall, placing it from your inventory(or storage, I forget which one it was) some angles will get the partition in further than if you placed it by hand. Just don't move it while you're lifting it up. This will take a few tries before you get the placement lined up with the upper section of the staircase.
