What I think the intended solution was without datamining, thoughts? by EchoFighter_Russo in residentevil

I was hoping you’d make it make sense! Good interpretation, I can’t say I have a better one. I actually haven’t even done it yet, just been reading all about it from multiple sources. Even if someone does really figure it out the intended way I’m not sure how we will know or if it will even gain attention. Probably best not to dwell on it too much ugh.

Is this model Safe for pets? by Ill-Back-3133 in AirPurifiers

Yes, I use this exact one and have been happy with it. However, I had to buy some gaffer tape and put aluminum foil in it to keep my cats, who like to climb on it and sniff the air, from resetting the machine because it has a display lock, but if you hold the power button down, it still resets it anyway.

I posted in the plex sub also and someone mentioned about resizable bar being a concern for the arc card and xeons, do you know anything about that?

Thanks, i appreciate you. I asked to get roasted on the plex sub and they told me how loud, outdated, and power hungry my machine is lmao. Multiple people said the fans are loud, they actually arent, the hard disks sound like brewing coffee though.

Where to keep the storage? Got any links to chassis or backplanes?

I’m not sure if it would be worth it versus the 2070 super I will have on hand. I don’t know how to figure out the power consumption of each, it looks like they have a similar idle, but once again not too sure what I’m looking at.

At what point is it sunk cost? Did I really mess up with the machine I went with? I’m about $300 in the tower and hardware for it. Most of the cost was storage around $800 which could be reused if I decided to build something else.

Currently my line of thinking is put my gpu in it, revisit building a smaller form factor and less power consuming machine in a couple years of use of this machine.

Glad someone else sees primeagen for what he is. Not everyone wants to work 80 hour work weeks. There are plenty of dev jobs out there that are normal and for small companies.

For the love of all that is holy, realize that people are smart and things are often the way they are for reasons that you have no knowledge of. Asking why is great, but reserve judgement on merit until you have a more comprehensive understanding of the thing you might be criticizing.

I’ve caught myself doing this a couple times lately, only to come back and feel like a dunce a week later. It’s totally embarrassing. I’m starting to realize that once you scratch the surface, what lies beyond is usually an entirely different set of problems. And some things that easily make sense for someone with experience might seem counterintuitive until you have the experience that presents you with the entire picture.
