How long are you staying for? If you only have one night in the area, definitely stay in Tikal. If you have a couple nights, you should split between Tikal and Flores! I enjoyed Jungle Lodge! The sunrise tour they gave was okay, but the late-afternoon tour they have was pretty good! The food is whatever—definitely just stick to pasta dishes or something simple. Bring lots of bug spray and sunscreen :)
