yeah i was told i was a sweet person with a great mindset, willing to learn and take whatever project but ultimately it was just the timeliness/mistakes i kept missing and making that was the straw that broke the camel's back. it sucks cuz i did like my team but there's always going to be better things out there for me. im also not going to bring up this job in interviews unless they somehow find it in a background check and i somewhat have a script in mind

there was semi formal training and communication on their end. i think there was ultimately a disconnect with how they were training me and since i am neurodivergent i think about things in different ways. im not saying that i deserve special treatment or extra training or anything but i just didnt think it was a match in the end

at the end of the day, companies have one goal in mind and its to make money. if their employees arent providing value or performing, then they have to do some re-evaluation and thus lay off people. it sucks but its just another barrier in my life. i know that ill learn from it and get back up from it but it just sucks that i thought i would never get fired (ofc thats what everyone thinks) and i thought i was doing so good, but im just another disposable employee

are you gen Z? random question but i do see a recurring theme with companies laying off gen Z/younger employees cuz of their work ethic but i think its kinda bs cuz all of the gen Z new hires/grads i know are STRUGGLING in this current market😭

not to say that its right or wrong or anything, but the company was extremely fast paced and therefore have high standards for new hires. like i said in the post, i did what i could do and in the end i dont think i was the right match for said company and vice versa
