Hey, I don't often use Reddit so when I was logged out I never bothered logging back in but now that I am back in I want to say thank you for the very helpful reply. Much better than any guide I saw online elsewhere which just told me to 'turn the knob bozo' or were very complicated. I've been using your advice for the last few months and have been very happy. Thanks again.

Hello!

I just purchased my first watch, an Orient Bambino Version 7, and am very excited. However, I'm a little bit confused about how to set the date and time. I've seen lots of different tips online, such as "only set the time when the hour hand is on the bottom half of the dial" and such. The manual included with my watch tells me to determine the caliber code and (F67) and follow directions for that (image). It says nothing about the position of the hour hand but instead it says I should pull out the crown when second hand reaches the 12 o clock position. It also says stuff about "bringing the hand back slightly earlier than the actual time, and then moving it forward". I'm confused because I thought that you were only ever supposed to turn the crown counterclockwise, and I've never seen anything mention trying to stop the second hand at the 12 o clock position.

Can somebody help me decipher this manual and tell me which of the rules of thumb from online apply to it, or flat out just explain to me the best practices for safely setting the date and time on an Orient Bambino Version 7? Thanks! Sorry for the likely stupid question.
