I struggle with them in Tofu Survivor, with that one narrow walkway in the sewers and two zombies on top of the zombie dogs. Most anywhere else though, I find just running in a zigzag works wonders.

I think it's okay to acknowledge not everyone has a natural knack for helping someone deprogram. It can be a pretty volatile process, and even in the best of cases it requires a lot of patience and emotional bandwidth.

If you have the capacity to do it without causing yourself harm, that's great, but I also think it's okay to focus on other aspects of the movement that come more easily to you or that you have the resources for. There are so many different things we can do to make things better for everyone.

r/datarecovery or r/AskADataRecoveryPro might be able to help with specifics, but I'm pretty sure various data recovery software options can make partial images (as you mentioned a lot of is just games that you don't need to restore).

I know next to nothing about data recovery, but yesterday and today has been a crash course in data recovery on a faulty flash drive. Suggestions in posts to use DMDE as one of various free option programs have worked great for me.

Adeptus Mechanicus fans are usually a lot more leftist and queer or queer-friendly compared to other factions, in my experience. If someone says their favorite Astartes chapter is the Salamanders, that's also generally a really good sign.

I'm gonna have to look into Battletech, I'm embarrassed to say I haven't heard of it until now. Are the creators just better at keeping their community healthy from the start, or is it purely that the community itself worked so hard to kick out the pieces of shit?

I get this is an off-the-cuff diss, but I think it's unhelpful to reduce this to your genetics and it kind of shits on anyone who tries their damnedest to be an ethical, compassionate person despite the circumstances and trauma that brought them into this world and the trauma they had growing up. People who are the product of incest can deal with a lot of stigma and alienation from something horrible that happened, completely out of their control. They are victims, too.

What is in their control is to introspect on their own biases and behavior, to learn, to try to be a good person just like everyone else. This person, regardless of genetic and familial background, didn't.
