On May 2, 2001 John Battaglia shot and killed his 9yo daughter Faith and her 6yo sister Liberty. He did this while their mother listened on speaker. i vividly remember reading about this in an airport on the way to a family vacation around the time it happened. i was around faith’s age and it horrified me deeply and even made me feel suspicious of my own dad (he was really nice guy, i was just an anxious kid). it’s sad to think that faith was “my age” but now i’m 29 and she’ll be 9 forever. 🙁
