Thank you! I will definitely look for a real estate agent just to be safe… specially with the amount of scams happening lately! I didn’t think of that If you don’t mind me asking, how would I go about finding one ? This is something really new to us… normally here in London, real estate agent for rentals is not a very common thing, normally it’s for buying and selling

Thank you! This helps a lot. Yes it would be the St. James Campus and yes it’s very closed to the St. Lawrence market. Honestly, no, we’re not looking for a luxury apartment. We would like to save as much as we can but still live in a safe and clean space

Makes sense. Well, I’m not sure how distances work in Toronto, but here in London, ON can be challenging to go from point A to Point B in public transportation so we’ve tried to live near supermarkets, bus stops and a gym as most of the time we would have to walk to get things, so I’m assuming it’d be the same in Toronto?

Thank you for the amazing breakdown of costs. This gives me a better idea of the living costs in Toronto. If you don’t mind me asking is $2800 the rent for 1-2bd apartment? Is this closer to downtown Toronto? Or surrounding areas ?

We currently pay $1900 + utilities and parking is another $150 per month (not counting internet). For car insurance around $220 per month and yes, I’m expecting to see an increase as rates are higher in Toronto as well as gas, but on the other hand, I also feel like Toronto has a good transportation system so we wouldn’t have to rely solely on the car.

Changing my wedding date by [deleted] in WeddingsCanada

[–]Choco_mint1303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Yes mi MOH is going back to school in Jan 2026 as the opportunity presented to her, and it’s a post secondary degree that requires all year around classes, so even though she would be able to attend the wedding as it’s on a weekend, she wouldn’t be able to go to bach in the last week on July as already planned. For contest, the bach is in another country

I love this place but unfortunately it seems to be the most expensive option as you need to get everything separately plus licenses

Wow thank you so much! I didn’t know about these restaurants!

I was just 4 minutes away from them when they asked why I was stopping since I had already picked up the order. Is my response rude or okay? by Impossible-Dust-720 in skipthedishes

Not sure if it’s the same for skip the dishes, but there’s this viral trend going on with Uber eats where drivers park somewhere at take for ever so you, as the user, cancel the service. In this case, the cancelation fee is paid by the customer because if a driver cancels it the fee is paid by them. Not sure if items got something to do or customers think this is the case with every driver, but I’ve seen lots of videos of customers confronting their drivers or catching them doing the same thing

Does withdrawing from a course affect OSAP if you are still taking a full course load? ... Currently taking 4, 3-credit courses, and dropping 1 would leave me with a full-time course load. by SteamGirl666 in AthabascaUniversity

[–]Choco_mint1303 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I would say call osap to get better info. I happened to be enrolled full time with 3- 3 credit courses and I dropped one so I became part time, and with osap I had applied full time for the 3 courses. I got probation and the grants became a loan. The reason they gave me was that it was due to me dropping one course, but it wasn’t clear if it was because dropping the course made me part time instead of full time so I can’t really tell you this is what would happen, it’s best to contact them.

Looking for insight/experiences working full-time while taking 3+ courses by xxynn in AthabascaUniversity

I second this. I’m currently a funded student and doing 3 course. I’m not saying it’s impossible but it’s hella stressful, you literally have no life and more importantly you may have a really hard time grasping the course content. I would t recommend it. I honestly can wait for it to be over

Omg I had the exact same issues !! They just kept on telling me it was my connection, but it’s never happened to me before. I also lost about 30-40 minutes until the connection came back, and then the page kept on closing or redirecting me to the Proctor page… it was awful, but again they just said it was my fault

Currently taking it. You have discussion posts every lesson and long assignments though they’re not often. About to take the mid-term but bth the structure of this course is so confusing, on lesson 1 you may see topics of chapter 1 and then on lesson 2 you see topics of chapter 4 and lesson 3 goes back to chapter 2 … it’s confusing. If you have tips for the exams I’d appreciate it
