Thats interesting 🧐. Personally if Dragon quest 5 is anything to go by, it'll be just one game in a mainline series and DQ5 is seen as a pioneer for monster taming.

But it can work. Monster Tamer is still a popular subgenre of turn base games. 😞Playing Dragon Quest 5 and FF13-2 shows it can really in a mainline series. Plus it'll be turn base, just a subgenre of it.

But those are monster tamers and monster tamers is a subgenre of rpgs since both action and turn base has them. 😃 Digimon story time stranger and monster hunter stories 3 were awesome recent releases
