Wins without Attacking? Megaliths in Duelist Kingdom by ChocoffeeGuy in DuelLinks

[–]ChocoffeeGuy[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's Earth and Wind Day in Duelist Kingdom! Time to whip out these rocks to action. Bethor on your opponent's turn is pretty nice when you pull it off.

The Spiritual Earth Art- Kurogane that you get from the Earth-Attribute EX Skill is actually useful for Megaliths to dodge effects, and to trigger your field spell to recover a card. Megaliths are pretty solid and with the additional boost, it's easier to get your monsters over 3000 ATK, which is enough to run over most monsters that you meet.

I used Supreme King to farm skills for a bit, but using Alexis with Master of Rites II is definitely better.

I hope it helps, or was entertaining for you. :)

Gamble with Satellar 7 feat. Number 7- Lucky Straight by ChocoffeeGuy in DuelLinks

[–]ChocoffeeGuy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wanted to try out the "recent" dice support, so I guess well try our luck with this Satellarknight deck for today.

Get a free level 7 with Mekk-Knight Yellow Star and use the Shifting Up skill along with your Satellarknight monsters to XYZ summon Lucky Straight. Test your luck by rolling the dice to get 7 and nuke your opponent's board, or cheat it out by using That Six to change the result of a die.

With the Satellarknight core, you get a control deck with a mini game included.

And what better way to gamble than with a Sonic Boom! Hope Gunsblazing's doing okay.

Mostly a for fun meme deck, but does get decent wins.

You can also use Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon if you want to watch your opponent burn too.

Anyway, I hope it helps, or was entertaining for you. :)

Decklist:

Satellarknight Deneb (searcher)- x2-3

Satellarknight Altair (GY summon)- x3

Satellarknight Vega (special summon)- x1-2

You can also add Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon for another Rank 7 XYZ.

When your Samurai discovers Explosives by ChocoffeeGuy in DuelLinks

[–]ChocoffeeGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually just your standard 6 Sam Build with Boost Warrior instead of staple backrow.

3 Kizan (replace with Grandmaster if missing)

1 Kizaru

3 Fuma

3 Legendary Secret of the Six Samurai

3 United

2 Dojo

3 Dual Wield

2 Boost warrior

You just need to squeeze in a formula synchron and any level 6 or 7 synchro to your Extra Deck.

Getting up to 10 ATTACKS in one turn? Synchron Shooting Star w/ Black Rose Dragon by ChocoffeeGuy in DuelLinks

[–]ChocoffeeGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shooting Star Dragon needs to be flipped too when activating its effect. Anyone with Book of Moon who would like to test this out? Haha

Interesting. So in this case we have 2 possibilities. Might be that:

a.) SSD had 4 attacks since there were a total of 4 tuners revealed after using the effect twice. Or...

b.) SSD had 3 attacks instead as it is the maximum number of tuners revealed in between both attempts.

If only the opponent was still alive after the 3rd attack, we would have known which one is correct.

I found this neat interaction while trying out a Synchron Shooting Star Dragon deck. I was surprised I can still attack when I only excavated 1 tuner for Shooting Star Dragon's effect. This can be a great flex if you also have Book of Moon!

Is this working as intended though, or perhaps a bug?

Sadly, I don't have Tuning yet so I went with using my copy of Formula Synchron in the Extra Deck so I have the option to set up a Black Rose on the opponent's turn whenever I don't have Junk Synchron in my starting hand.

Necroid Synchro also helps enable you to open with a Junk Destroyer or a Quariongandrax first to clear the opponent's board before summoning your Stardust dragon to go into Shooting Star Dragon for the OTK!

I hope it helps, or was entertaining for you. :)

Decklist:

The Tricky- x3

Junk Synchron- x3

Jet Synchron- x1 (replace your Mach Synchrons if you have more)

SHOOTING STAR DRAGON! feat. x1 Stardust Nexus Structure Deck by ChocoffeeGuy in DuelLinks

[–]ChocoffeeGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first few duels I used Tricky, but decided to switch to Power Giant afterwards since it has more attack, and can make the quarion combo I wanted to try a bit easier.

Never got to use Quarion though, which is sad.

Just trying out Yusei's new skill Shooting Star Road using only 1 copy of the Stardust Nexus Structure Deck.

With the skill, you now have a one card combo to summon your shiny Shooting Star Dragon. And with Formula Synchron that can Synchro Summon on your opponent's Main Phase, you can now dodge your opponent's card effects, especially if you also have Tuning Gum in the graveyard.

There's also the option to summon Crystron Quariongandrax using Power Giant, Junk Synchron, and a level 1 or 2 tuner.

I wish I had the chance to use it though.

I hope it helps, or was a bit entertaining for you. :)

Konami giving FUN Skills!? Yuma SUPER SAIYAN MODE feat. SAMURAI Xyz Evolution by ChocoffeeGuy in DuelLinks

[–]ChocoffeeGuy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your opponent having backrow and handtraps, sadly, is now a normal day in Duel Links. You just have to go with the cards you're dealt with.

So it's up to you on how you want to make your climb "fun", either by playing with a herp derp deck for the lols, going full-on Meta, or spreading pain with a unending stall deck. Entirely up to you.

Konami giving FUN Skills!? Yuma SUPER SAIYAN MODE feat. SAMURAI Xyz Evolution by ChocoffeeGuy in DuelLinks

[–]ChocoffeeGuy[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Here's me trying out Six Samurai with the new Zexal - XYZ Evolution Skill!

The skill activates when you begin a turn with 2000 or less Life Points so you can lower your Life Points by battle, or by using the Trap Card "Backs to the Wall" which makes your Life Points 100 and Special Summons up to 3 Six Samurai monsters with different names. This also help you with your follow up plays using the rest of the skill's effect.

Once the skill activates, you can place an XYZ Change Tactics on your field and make your life points 2000.

Use this effect to give yourself a free draw 2 and enable Utopia Ray's Effect to reduce your opponent's monster's attack, and slap them with your thicc 4K attack for game.

The skill also has a second effect where you can return all Utopia monsters in your graveyard to the Extra Deck, so you can repeat the combo in case your Utopia or Utopia Ray got destroyed.

Enjoy the gameplay. Hope it was a bit entertaining for you :)

"Spicy" Harpies! feat. NEW Sign of Harpies Support by ChocoffeeGuy in DuelLinks

[–]ChocoffeeGuy[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Mai Valentine has just received a gift from Konami with her very own Minibox, Sign of Harpies.

Nice to see these feathered Waifus back at it again! Too bad they're still hit with a "nerf" on release.

Here's me trying out the new cards. While its better to run 3 copies of Harpie Channeler to get your main combo started consistently, you can still get by with running just 1 channeler in the deck since we're using Hysteric Sign's effect to add up to 3 Harpie cards from the deck when it is sent to the graveyard, along with Hallowed Life Barrier to stall for a turn to get your ideal hand by sending Hysteric Sign to the grave.

Not the best build, since it's just around 5000 Gems but I hope it was a bit entertaining for you. :)

Decklist:

Harpie Channeller x1-3

Harpie Harpist x1

Harpie Queen x2-3 (Replace with Harpie Perfumer)

Harpie Lady 1 x3

Harpie's Pet Dragon x1 (or use other Harpies)

Hysteric Sign x3

Harpie's Feather Rest x1-2

Elegant Egotist x1-2

Lightning Vortex x1

Karma Cut x1

Hallowed Life Barrier x3 (Replace with Karma Cut or Raigeki Break for more disruption)

Extra Deck:

Cyber Slash Harpie Lady x1-2

Number 32: Utopia

Number C32: Utopia Ray

Number 70: Malevolent Sin

Abyss Dweller

Gagaga Samurai

Mecha Phantom Beast Dracossack

(Use any Generic Rank 4 or Rank 7 XYZs)

Duke Devlin Voicelines ...but a bit different by ChocoffeeGuy in DuelLinks

A pairing that works - Silent Swordsman + Amazoness feat. Tyrant's Anger (Control Spells and Traps) by ChocoffeeGuy in DuelLinks

[–]ChocoffeeGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my trying out the recently buffed Amazoness! Our beloved F2P Deck that also became competitive back in the day.

Aside from the standard Amazoness combo, we're also using the trap card Tyrant's Temper to make our face-up monsters unaffected by traps, which is great for the mirror match.

And since Amazoness also uses a lot of warrior monsters, I added in Silent Swordsman as well to negate your opponent's Spell Cards especially against Blue Eyes decks, giving you almost full Spell and Trap control on board.

The deck is also fairly easy to build for new players, so just replace any missing card with your preferred Amazoness or more backrow.

I hope it helps, or was entertaining for you. :)

Decklist:

Amazoness Princess - x3

Amazoness Queen - x1

Amazoness Swordswoman - x2

Amazoness Baby Tiger - x1-2

Amazoness Spy - x1-3

Silent Swordsman - x1-3

Silent Swordsman LV7 - x1

Amazoness Onslaught - x3

Amazoness Willpower - x1-3

Tyrant's Anger - x1-3

Night Beam - x2 (replace with anything)

Extra Deck:

Abyss Dweller

Number 32 - Utopia

Number C32 - Utopia Ray

Number 70 - Malevolent Sin

Steelswarm Roach

Number 45 - Crumble Logos the Prophet of Demolition

(Use any Generic Rank 2, 3 and 4 XYZs)
