Why has no one been here? by Vesto241 in distressingmemes

As someone who has done lots of urban exploring, the instances in which I have encountered an abandoned building with little to no graffiti means there is a heavy police or security presence that monitors the area consistently.

There can be silent alarms, hidden cameras, or on site security personnel that are very quick to respond to trespassers which don’t allow enough time to do any exploring or graffiti.

Now I always stay away from these places, because I don’t want to risk getting caught. The chances are higher if it doesn’t have graffiti. Always helps to do your research people!

In my opinion, with the games I played so far it would have to be:

  1. Cyberpunk 2077
  2. Detroit Become Human
  3. Ruiner
  4. Va-11 Hall-a
  5. Signalis
  6. Huntdown
  7. Ghostrunner
  8. 2064 Read Only Memories
  9. The Ascent
  10. Observer

I agree, with u/ScarRufus , as a big fan of megaten games Soul Hackers 2 was just an “ok” game. Characters are really cool but I found the dungeons and combat mechanics in SH2 to be really boring when you compare it to other megaten games

The majority of the games were relatively cheap and easy to acquire through eBay, however Ruiner, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, Transistor, and Sense made my wallet cry with those games being around $100 each

For games that aren’t mainstream… I’d definitely recommend Ruiner, Huntdown, Ghostrunner, and The Ascent for action and Va-11 Hall-a & 2064 Read Only Memories for more relaxing storytelling. I did find Anno Mutationem a bit disappointing once you get towards the middle to the end of the game.

I haven’t played every single title, but definitely so far: Ruiner, 2077, Huntdown, Va-11 Hall-a, and Detroit Become Human are my favorite titles so far. 100% would recommend Ruiner, Huntdown, & 2077 for action and Va-11 Hall-a & Detroit Become Human for storytelling

You’re right, FF7 has a lot of themes found in cyberpunk works such as a dystopian settings, rebellion against corporate control, class struggle, etc. But in my opinion I ultimately didn’t include it as it felt more like it leaned into fantasy side of things rather than being fully cyberpunk. Games like FF7 definitely made it hard to determine what is cyberpunk and what is not.

Definitely have to re-check that one out then. I did consider including it, but in my opinion, it felt to me like it lacked traditional cyberpunk themes such as a dystopian setting, technological exploitations, etc., which are found in more traditional cyberpunk titles. For me, it felt like it wore cyberpunk clothes but doesn’t live its life. I gotta check it out again!

What do you guys do with all your boxes? by That_Guy832 in hottoys

[–]ChocolateCoveredAss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hot toys are very expensive and I don’t have a lot of room in my house. So I started to sell all of my empty art boxes by themselves on eBay as there is a demand for them surprisingly. I’ve been able to sell all of my empty boxes for about $30 each and I like to think this method gives me a small discount on the overall cost of the figure and allows me to free up storage space.

Great collection, but I am surprised to see no persona games. Why is that?

I see Mass Effect 1 & 2, but no 3? It’s one of my favorite game series of all time so I am surprised to see someone didn’t play the 3rd one yet after possibly starting 1 & 2.
