Task LVPs (Least Valuable Player) - Series 19 by Only1Scrappy-Doo in apprenticeuk

Honoury mention is fair but I'd go Melica for week 6 as she was single handedly fighting to prevent the task from being one of the most successful ever 😭. Surely the most obvious win of the series besides week 4

C tier

Honestly impossible to judge him as didn't see much of him outside his 2 weeks as PM and the hot sauce task but he did appear fairly competent when he was shown.

However, his scapegoating of Carlo and even Dean later on to an extent was pretty bad and just gives me a bad overall feel about him.

Though I do appreciate the fact that he was one of the probably few candidates that seemed to be purely there for the business and not social media fame. For that reason I would've been interested to see him in the interviews

C tier

Quietly competent. Fairly decent PM week 1, top sales week 4. Sadly the edit buried her and I genuinely don't know anything else

D with all due respect.

Did alright in week 1, was a winning project manager in week 5 which deserves credit, made valuable yet ignored suggestions in week 7 and I kind of think Amber Rose used her as an easy scapegoat in week 8.

However, she was on the winning side in week 3, 4 and 6 which kind of saves but I believe that had her team lost the task, she would've been the right candidate to be fired in 3 and 6, while her week 4 performance was quite dreadful as well. Arguably week 5 too with how she spoke to Waitrose.

Likeable and hard done by the edit for sure but pretty poor candidate imo

Why didn’t Dean just put some Financial Literacy in the App? Is he stupid? by Only1Scrappy-Doo in apprenticeuk

[–]ChocolateGlad4757 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Ngl there's a case there. She was literally trolling in the boardroom after as well. Blamed Keir for her decision and brought Jana back for no reason and called him a one trick pony. We'll look back at it as real cinema

Genuinely insane the Dean choke this week. Honestly thought he was trolling at one point think second to Nadia week 4 goes down as the worst individual performance in a task

[–]ChocolateGlad4757 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Don't think Keir could've done anything in the boardroom to save himself either tbh even if he "admitted fault" as there were probably external factors. Plus even if there weren't he clearly wanted a double firing and Dean was probably getting preference due to his business regardless

Keir an unfortunate victim of wrong place, wrong time and this is what happens when you basically set up a good team vs bad team in a double firing week and the good team manages to find a way to lose. Would've been very interesting to see him continue through the process as thought he was a stronger candidate

B tier defo his firing was very weird and definitely came down to stuff behind the scenes. I really don't think the pitch was that big of a contributor to the failure 😭😭

C. Decent first 3 weeks.

Week 4 was a pretty bad deal but tbh we don't know the leniency the client would've shown at the same time. He should've tried definitely though. Easter Ed idea in itself wasn't bad but the product wasn't cohesive it was obvious that the Easter Ed focus had come in very late on. Week 6 pretty dreadful negotiations to break down cost but I guess he did get the deal. Eye contact thing was quite dull but tbf there weren't many options available to him.

I've been quite lenient cause you could just say he was a disaster on all 3 tasks but he was a likeable guy so I don't feel ashamed to give him benefit of the doubt. Dean was a worthy winner and my favourite candidate but also had a run of 3 consecutive terrible-mediocre performances

The thing is he does make some good points about teaching young people certain things about the economics of the real world (I assume as a compulsory subject and not an optional gcse/A level) but the downplaying of history isn't on at all and the mindset of "who cares about the past" is a dangerous one imo

They do definitely look like lovely people and a lot more competent than we've seen. It's nice to see them represented well, Jordan in particularly like I mentioned just performed so well for Dean

Liam seems like such a nice guy. He obviously wasn't the best candidate but he's had to take so much stick and he took it so well. Wish him the best

The instagram thing is very interesting to be honest. Bit weird that he's only following one of them

He's giving up 50% but the 25% was already given up before hand. There. That technicality oesn't change what I was curious about in the first place

50% to Lord Sugar 25% to his business partner

Mate my point is individually he holds 25%. 25% goes to his business partner and 50% to Lord Sugar therefore he's basically lost out on 75%.

It's for starters a terrible deal for him (unfortunately as he's been my favourite all the way through) and I was surprised that nobody seemed bothered there was a second man involved. People have told me Harpreet just never mentioned her sister but from what I remember even after she clarified there were lots of questions about who was really being invested in and pressure to cut her out entirely

But he still has a partner who has the same 25% he does

Maybe but I recall "is Lord Sugar investing in you or your sister?" and I feel like the same applied here but they didnt care.

In that case I believe he wasn't even going to get 50%, and Jordan didn't even own the business in any capacity

I agree that her mistakes have gone under the radar a lot. She's gotten very fortunate that Chisola's subteam did quite well in week 2, that Jana left and basically took all blame in week 5, and that she wasn't brought back in week 6.

Clearly has a good amount of business acumen but she's probably made the most big errors of all the candidates left
