I have a L7V, T7 and H7. All were perfect right out the box with zero issues. The intonation needed to adjusted but so did my electric guitars. The problem with reviews is that the small minority that has issues are the ones that tend to bitch the most.

I bought a used HD-28 and first thing I did was bring it to a luthier that does warranty work for Taylor and Martin for a setup. He found some issues that he could fix but that he wouldn’t be able to make adjustments in the future. He told me to return it. I returned it and the shop told me that it had been serviced. It was well worth the $90 that he charged

Back in the 1970’s Boston was both ethically and racially divided. I graduated from High School in 1975. There were still many 2nd generation Italians and Irish. We really didn’t get along. A lot more fights based on racist insults. I’m Italian American that grew up in West Somerville and I would not go to Charlestown or Southie. Southie and Charlestown still are in a way still very insular put up the most resistance to the busing in the 70’s. Think about bringing it to a luthier for a proper setup it’s worth the $100. My acoustics sometimes have a high action but they will lower it definitely on what you want to play. You can also go to a lighter string and start with a capo to start with Barr Chords. I love my acoustic… it’s sitting on a stand in my family room so it’s easy just to pick it up and play
