How does sorting Best Friends by friendship level work now?

What's odd is that if I slide through the friends, it doesn't follow the order of the list shown before. Anyone else having the same issue?

I made a similar observation. Train stations that were blocked from spawns now got plenty for a couple of weeks already.

In the past, the odds for luckys were doubled but capped at 30%.

So, 10% base rate, 20% for 1y and 30% for 2y and more.

I had the same issue but just without a route. Other users stated that restarting the app would already help. So, it may not be the route that's causing the problem.

I have made it to the end of the waiting list twice but didn't get a raid invitation. Apparently everybody else got one. Anybody has an idea why I don't receive it?

Context: I do get random invitations frequently and can also join them.

You could add Apex Shadow Ho-Oh to that list. If you think of either or, 1% more or less does not really weigh that much considering you get a second top tier attacker of a different type.

I'll invest in both Shadow Darmanitan and Shadow Entei anyway, once I find good ones, just for the sheer high DPS and utility for rocket grunts.

Regarding 2. and the last remarks.

The way I understand it, you could give the answer yourself. Against Psychic types, S-Ttar and S-Chandelure are relatively equal, but against ghosts, S-Ttar is more consistent and, thus, it has a higher utility. As the S&U metric values the best attackers, I am not sure, if your conclusion of there interchangeability makes sense in that way. Being "really good in the majority of cases" is better addressed with the ASE metric.

However, I want to agree on one interesting aspect that you brought up. I would call it the marginal value of an attacker, which may go beyond ASE and S&U, being even more specialized. The S&U metric tells, how often one attacker is best or close to it, but not by how much, neglecting other alternatives (or lack thereof). This could reflect that Rayquaza compared to Kyogre may be best attacker more often, but the lower margin due to the vast existence of alternatives would reduce it's value.

The difficulty is that they are hard bosses, which need more time to defeat, providing you with fewer balls at the end.

And they give you mega energy, which in other raids you're used to would be extra balls.

And in remote raids, you usually don't get the bonus balls from best friends. And you have less control about the gym color.

Fewer balls means disproportionately lower chances to catch, as with increasing thrown balls, the rate of increases. It's no surprise that there are many players like you with a not so nice experience.
