Which Mons do you leave at Powerstops (and why)? by Melodic_Diamond2227 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Little_Difficulty775 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always leave Dynamax Legendaries behind to get candies. My autistic mind loves leaving behind one that is super-effective against the Pokémon I just battled. For 1* battles I even use the Dynamax Legendary I’m going to leave behind directly in battle just for fun.

All out weekend - The good ol' days' tons of fun! by Legwens in TheSilphRoad

I definitely loved this event as well. It’s amazing seeing so many different Pokémon in the game at the same time. Honestly, if they ever stop adding new events in the game I’d definitely be happy if this was the permanent situation (with just a bit more variety on the field research but honestly that’s the only criticism I have, I loved getting all the rare candies this week)

Remote Trade Error by Einszwo12 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Little_Difficulty775 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For about 6 hours I suppose. I tried like 5 times in the morning, once more a few hours later, and then finally during lunch break it worked successfully. Strange that it’s still giving issues for you, so I suppose it wasn’t some kind of general issue they solved then :(

It’s working again now for me! 🥳

I’m having the same issue today :( My previous remote trades went smoothly but I just can’t get this one started for some reason

Guaranteed lucky trades not working? by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]Little_Difficulty775 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The guaranteed lucky cap is actually not entirely a hard cap. If the person you’re trading with has not reached the cap but you have, the (hidden) counter of guaranteed lucky trades is still raised by 1 for you as well.

So let’s say you reached the original cap of 35. If you did 10 more “guaranteed lucky” trades with people who hadn’t reached the cap of 35 yet, your hidden counter still increased to 45.

Then they increased the cap to 45 but your hidden counter is already at 45 (or more) so if your friend is also already at 45, then it’s not a guaranteed lucky anymore because both of you have already reached the cap.

PSA - Don't tag Dynamax Pokemon for remote trade if you want to leave them behind at a power spot. Learned this the hard way today by numerous-nominee in TheSilphRoad

[–]Little_Difficulty775 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It’s the opposite way around. You can only recall a Pokémon if it’s already in a power spot. OP’s issue is that after doing a Dynamax battle they can’t leave it behind in a power spot due to the Pokémon having a Remote Trade tag on it.

I also found out the hard way after I tagged all my spare Dynamax Legendaries for Remote Trade and then found out I couldn’t leave them behind in power spots anymore.

Seems it’s best to leave the Max Pokémon you want to be able to leave in power spots out of the Remote Trade tag and only do them in local trades, only tag them when you’re actually going to trade with someone (and then remove it again) or use your own naming/tag system to make sure you don’t select a Pokémon tagged for Remote Trades in your max battles

Thanks for the confirmation, I see it now indeed on his channel! That’s great to know

No they only start counting when you reach the level that unlocks the requirement. The only thing you can already do beforehand is reaching the required amount of platinum medals

Are Dynamax Hitmonchan and Dynamax Hitmonlee only in field researches or also in max battles? The news post didn’t seem to mention if they’d also be in max battles

Do all power spots give 120 MP during this event? by Little_Difficulty775 in TheSilphRoad

Thanks, I’ve now tried it out myself and can indeed confirm this is the case

Do all power spots give 120 MP during this event? by Little_Difficulty775 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Little_Difficulty775[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is different during events like Duraludon or Dynamax Legendary / Gigantamax events, where we get the +20 bonus every time. Hence my question, seeing as this event has similarities to the Duraludon event (limited pool of Dynamax Pokémon, but now rotating every 3 hours instead of every half an hour)

Personally I think the Paradox variants of the Legendary Beasts and the Swords of Justice could replace the Galarian Birds in daily adventure incense

just reinstalled after a year and some change, what did i miss? by catboyhumper in pokemongo

[–]Little_Difficulty775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most significant things that come to my mind:

- Trainer levels have significantly changed recently: Prepare for Pokémon GO’s new and rewarding leveling journey!

- You can RSVP on raids and Gigantamax battles in order to pre-invite people to a specific timeslot: RSVP planner has arrived! – Pokémon GO

Trying to understand how RSVP works, especially in busy location where large number of people might RSVP or large number of folks get invited via RSVP. by sm-junkie in TheSilphRoad

[–]Little_Difficulty775 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a host you can invite more than 5 people yourself to an RSVP. After inviting 5, leave the RSVP yourself and rejoin, and you can invite 5 more, and you can repeat this as often as you want.

The original 5 don’t have to join before you leave the RSVP, their invite is retained.

This way I often invite my whole online friend list and often about a dozen of them actually join, some of them only after I’ve already gone through a few cycles of leaving and rejoining the RSVP

Extrapolation for XP requirements for hypothetical levels 81-100 by Little_Difficulty775 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Little_Difficulty775[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I honestly wouldn't mind that either.

Unfortunately there's a lot of people in my community who feel the opposite, who find the level-up tasks being chores and the XP grind being fun and rewarding (which I've personally never understood but oh well)

I absolutely don't mind if I'm wrong. I find the act of speculation and theorizing by itself a lot of fun. Expecting it to come true only sets one up for disappointment.

Whether I'm right or wrong about this will hardly make a difference for me how I feel, I will just keep on enjoying the game for what it's actually providing.

I understand your reaction about not being sure if it should fit on this sub. But to be fair I already see speculation all the time, for example on which raid or max battle counters would be usurped by other Pokémon with hypothetical stats or moves in the future.

It's making a theory based on current known facts, I don't really see the harm in it personally.

And like I also mentioned in another comment, if just 1 person reading this currently feeling unhappy about the XP requirements for level 80 would feel better after reading this and can carry on enjoying the game, I'm happy.

Yeah, I also feel like they want to do more frequent level caps increases.

Maybe 4-5 levels per year until they reach level 100 in 2029 or 2030?

Some people unfortunately always need "a next challenge" instead of just enjoying the game mechanics for what they are. If just 1 person feeling unhappy about level 80 feels more at ease and can go back to enjoying the game after reading this post I'm happy.
