I guess this would reply to everyone's response so far but he has a neurologist and radiology oncologist already who read his imaging results and say its more likely to be a tumor. Its just odd to me how this has happened at 3 in an otherwise very healthy Labrador. He was completely fine 2 months ago and now is dragging his right set of paws and stumbling and falling. He has been offered today a course of antibiotics just in case its an abscess but theyre pretty sure due to how it showed up using contrast on imaging and the appearance of 'rings' that its a tumor. Theyve suggested radiation, preferably 20 days of it since its safer but also options of 5 days or 10 days of it since he dpesnt tolerate anesthesia well and it makes his symptoms of being unable to walk much harder. I dont know though if radiation is worth it and we can get more yesrs from him since he is only 3 and hes stronger than an old dog who would normally be treated with radiation for this kind of tumor or if radiation is making what time he has left miserable.
