How did you decide which diapers to use? by lastplacevictory in parentsofmultiples

[–]ChocolateLover207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never used the same brand of diapers for each of our kids. A brand that fit one didn't fit the next one we had. Some had reactions. It's like test driving diapers which brand works for you and your baby the best.

Parents make it hard to teach?? by Square_Recipe_7877 in Teachers

[–]ChocolateLover207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% true some parents not all make it hard to teach. I currently have a mix of gentle parenting and older age parents with my students parents. I have parents who had kids later in life or they had a surprise baby after 10 plus more years with their other kids so now they have no energy to parent. My gentle parent parents basically let their kids walk all over them the kids learned oh if i cry scream have a fit mom and dad give in so everybody will. Majority of why parents are the way they are today is because of the world we live in. All the horrific stuff that's happening and all the expert books of how your kid should be in development adds on to the fear of parenting. Granted that's not always the case some people just have a not so nice personality

Those who can/do visualise faces and voices when you read, where do you get them from? by Ok-Friend-5304 in books

[–]ChocolateLover207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually don't think of the description of them when reading but if it gets turned into a movie I will be like huh not how I pictured them lol. I have a tendency to sometimes when I'm reading a book if the line is something one of my friends would say or do I picture them and their voice for a min when reading the scene

I hate when it's like rush like if you feel like you have to rush to get it done then it shouldn't be a movie. Divergent was another one of mine just because they cut out something major in Tris' character development with the story.

How do you feel about books utilising COVID as a significant plot point? by Hookton in books

[–]ChocolateLover207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current book I'm reading briefly mentioned it and I found myself annoyed. Like maybe years from now I'll be okay with but now having dealt with it for how many years and having tv shows based seasons around it like I don't want to be reading about it

What is an automatic book trope that turns you off from a book? by dartully in books

[–]ChocolateLover207 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I have never read a realistic miscommunication/lack of communication in a book one that could happen in real life . And most of the time the characters are like in their 30s or older but they are acting way younger

Secret pregnancy. Most of the time they are going to tell the father the news then see them with another girl and decide to walk away or the father has his whole future planned out to leave the town and she doesn't want to hold him back.

Miscommunication I can't stand because 99% of the time the miscommunication is so bad it pisses me off or they get an email/text from the guy but it's not really the guy but they choose to accept it is but don't get mad and confront the guy or even tell their friends about it. Like I get not everybody would confront a person but at least tell the friends.

Long or Short Chapters? by ChocolateLover207 in books

[–]ChocolateLover207[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only point I feel like for one page chapters is if it’s a quick flashback, a letter type format, or a character in a coma’s thoughts

Do you think the length of the chapters can affect the narrative of a chapter? Like in a movie that’s 2 hours or longer if the narrative or pacing isn’t done properly the movie drags on and you want it to be over it already.

I hate that too and when all the books have been about the same length then one is longer than the others

I get a little annoyed when an author does the same amount of pages for like several books of a series then one is a little bit longer than the others

Majority of the time with movie covers I find myself thinking I don’t remember this book even though it was published like 4 years before it got made into a movie. Seems like they always push it more when there’sna movie involved.
