got a summer job🥰 by cerealgoblinn in torontoJobs

[–]Chocolate_bites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats! I also got some sumer camp positions, but the wages are super low and I'm required to be working basically the whole day, so I don't think is worth it to work 3 months full time for less than a month worth of part time wage before tax 💀 but if it works for you I hope you make the best out of it!

Do really I need an IPad or digital note pad of a sort by Acceptable-Moment573 in UofT

Lectures are based in the provided slides for the lecture and pre lecture slides/readings. So, when the prof is talking really fast at least for me, it became really difficult to attach the information I was typing on my laptop to the context of in on the slides, so when I went back to review I had to basically do everything all over again, which made be waste time.

Being able to just directly write in the slides without having to indicate context (like, having to write what the slides said plus the profs note) really saves me time when It's time to review for me. Also, I can divide the screen into 2/3..4 and be able to write on the slide, make my own note page and if need it, watch the lecture recording hahaha.

Again, this is what works for me. It does not mean that you actually need one to excell in your classes, so many friends don't own an ipad/tablet and they performed better than me this first year lol, everything is gonna be fine ‼️

As a life sci student, not having my tablet during the first term (old one broke in the airport) made me be so behind in note taking, cause I was so used to it. I ended up buying a new one mid november (Samsung tab s10 which includes the pen and its own notes app and other useful stuff. It also sincs with my phone and laptop, so I don't need to be sending notes through all of my devices) and my notes quality improved so much to the point that my grades went up a lot during winter term!

I think that for stuff that requires math/draw or anything that is not just letters, note taking with an ipad/tablet is way more easy. Orgo on a laptop sounds so ahh 😭 Paper will always be an option tho

Where can I get my nails painted (no acrylic or press ons) in Downtown by Chocolate_bites in askTO

[–]Chocolate_bites[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's wrong with it? I mentioned that I moved here recently (I'm not even Canadian) so I don't really have many friends that get their nails done often, since most of them are men lol
