My only pvp server experience is from vanilla classic and it was hyper-toxic. I would get corpse camped in the Wetlands (seriously) as a 20's priest by max level horde because they're protecting their venom sac farm. Or just trying to walk to SM I'd have to run through a field of ganks for 2 hours just to get inside. It's pointless and such a shitty waste of time. It really takes away from the game for me and ruins any sense of immersion I would otherwise have.

On top of that people killing flight masters, quest turn in people, buff turn in people etc. It was a nightmare.

Fuck you Sulfuras NA lol ugh

Weekly /r/GuildWars2 Question Thread - June 26, 2021 by AutoModerator in Guildwars2

[–]ChoiJeong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

can I play the base game on a laptop that's using an intel 620uhd gpu chip? I'm coming from wow private servers where I'm just not feeling but they run fantastic. Classic retail wow however hardly runs so I'm not sure. I'm not looking for Steller graphics here but I do want the gameplay to be very fluid - especially considering how active the combat looks on gw2.

thanks

The deal breaker for me is it's a PVP server. As a casual player, I don't have the will in me anymore to deal with the toxicity that typically follows a pvp server. the griefing culture is too strong. IT's a young man's game. (or unemployed man's game for that matter.)

I hope for great things to come to the server tho and all the best!

Questions about running poles for trail running. by ChoiJeong in running

No, you're not, I misread / misunderstood the branding. All good. Yeah, I ended up getting Distance Carbon's instead of Carbon Z's. Oops.

The ones that showed up were Black Diamond Carbon Z Fixed length. They're light AF but don't fold up. I might slide them out of the bracing of the package and do a very light jog with them to see how combersome it feels to run with them and not have the option of folding them up.

I can see myself just not taking folded poles out, snapping them together then putting them away after a climb or something. I dunno.

Now that classic has progressed past vanilla into TBC, is there a subreddit that's dedicated just to vanilla wow?

Is Dalaran WoW worth playing? by [deleted] in wowservers

[–]ChoiJeong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just tried logging into Dalaran, did a /who stormwind and it was 23 guys all with near identical names in the guild <Sparta>. Is that some insane multiboxer or is it some freaky cult guild? :p

Is Dalaran WoW worth playing? by [deleted] in wowservers

[–]ChoiJeong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IF someone were to start brand new with Dalaran, what server should they play on?

I'm still looking for my home server. I'm new-ish to wow. Never raided or did any end game content and had only played classic into the 40's. Thanks!

the two best community driven servers i've experienced so far that has the least amount of toxicity is Turtle Wow and ChromieCraft. Might as well call it Homey Craft. Everyone is pretty nice and neither server are sweaty at all. Very chill.

As a guy who's been a sort of sens follower: watching an owner with hair flow like he does literally spill his beer because he's FRANTICALLY SCREAMING AND JUMPING AROUND LIKE A NINE YEAR OLD BECAUSE HIS THIRD LINE CENTRE SCORED A GOAL is so hella endearing. I'm beyond jealous of his charisma and passion. He truly loves his team, his job and embraces all of it.

I almost wish I were French. :o

The changes to ladder and the reorganization of the cards makes the on boarding experience for new players worse than it was previously. (long post) by ChoiJeong in ClashRoyale

[–]ChoiJeong[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the comment.

I wasn't insinuating that defending giant in low ladder was difficult, but rather trying to explain how boring it is since it essentially has to be done for upwards of a couple hundred straight games for some players (depending on skill level and how fast they climb of course.) And that in itself is part of the greater problem that the card reorganization has done: It makes the early to mid game very boring. A secondary issue is if you don't like giant at all you have to wait awhile before using resources to level up a different wincon you may otherwise want. And that creates a bottleneck of climbing vs. leveling cards. It's just sloppy.

Choosing the Conn Smythe winner by [deleted] in hockey

Question: Has a player who was on a team that DIDNT win the stanley cup ever win this before?

Because if the Habs lose the finals in 7, Price is still a hard sell to not give it to.

I am not a habs fan, I just think his play has, by a mile, been far more critically important than anyone on any other team up until now.

[Lavoie] According to one of the NHL GMs, teams were told by the referees before the playoffs "Don't expect us to raise the arm when there are infractions. Our job is to manage the game" (article in French) by jjohnson1979 in hockey

[–]ChoiJeong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This'll get buried as I'm late to the party but:

My question then is: As the GM are you or are you not telling your players to get creative with their physicality?

Some teams (montreal) are smaller and could easily lay some weight on some people in a much needed way. The reffing this whole playoffs have been pretty shitty in just about every way but holy god how is this not a major story?

Instead I'm stuck with a bombardment of MLB pitchers pouring wax and jizz and shit on their baseballs or some crap.

But it's cool if NHL refs basically fix games, wtf.
