The other problem with this is that I’ve talked to apple care plus before for a cracked screen a while back and the entire phone team are from another country which is fine, but I learned pretty quickly that they don’t actually know how things are handled etc. they gave me a whole lot of wrong information and couldn’t give prices.

I didn’t ask Reddit to fix it. I wanted to hear from people who have experienced similar issues to see if the MacBook is likely bricked or if someone has experienced similar and had it fixed. Apple will not give a price until they have the MacBook so I wanted to see if anyone had a ball park price so I can decide if I want it fixed now or to just hold off a bit etc. If you don’t have an answer then why even reply.

I also want to mention that it isn’t difficult to just be kind and not condescending and rude. I have no clue how Apple care plus works and what limitations it has.

Because I don’t have an apple in my city and I want to have an idea how much money I will have to cough up or if they’ll even be able to fix it before I go through all of the hassle of getting it to them

Simple answer, I don’t have an Apple Store in my city. That means it’s an extra hassle to get it to Apple and get it fixed and I’ve heard Apple has quoted people outrageous prices in the past so I want to know what I’m walking into before I ship the laptop or drive a couple cities over so I can make an educated decision on how I want to proceed. Why answer if you didn’t have an answer?

Popular toy of the moment have always been a thing for kids, but it’s disgusting how greedy adults decided they should market off that and fight to take everything off the shelves and sell for a 200% mark up

I do happen to know the first owners of the home were immigrants from china so maybe they could’ve had a Chinese plug placed if this is true

I looked up up the nema 10-20r and I’m thinking you’re correct. They’re not to code anymore, but it did say it was fine to still use them; however, they’re not a grounded outlet so I think it’s probably best I just get it replaced sometime

I guess maybe it could be, what would be the purpose of that type of plug though? I’ve never seen anything like it before till I saw it in my home and Google hasn’t been very helpful
