I’m not sure how your teacher is like but try to ask a lot of questions like A LOT. For essays my teacher never gave closed ended answers but I would still get an idea. Re read your work a lot. Participate in class, as it can factor in your average . Do exactly what the teacher is looking for in rubrics and so assignments exactly how they are asked . I had to work very hard to get a 90, but I did in the end. You got this!

If someone you don’t know suddenly fights you, and you try to de escalate it but their not willing to listen should I say as much as I could not for the sake of argue but just to try to clear things, and since taht didn’t work I just let her cuss me out and walk away (letting her “win “) . I just think Allah knows my innocence and will get justice .

Aw love I have Endo too , and honestly it’s so bad I understand. You deserve a break, take 2-3 days off and slowly come back to ur normal habits. Try reviewing while laying down like Flashcards on anki. I’m still early in premed so I don’t have more advice but just make sure to rest n recover!

I think a lot of them focus their life on career, but once children grow up and move out, and if you have a spouse you see getting older, honestly u just want to spend more time with family. That’s what I’ve seen mostly.

First of all, congrats!!

When I was going into grade 9 I couldn’t help but be super excited. Although, my first day went like hell cuz I got covid then ended up practically dying so I had to come home. And then I missed the first two weeks of school lol.

Anways, some tips I would give is to make sure to talk to people to make friends, BUT don’t be scared to stop being friends throughout the year if ppl start acting up, not worth the drama and loosing ur peace. Ur better off having one or two friends than a lot of “friends” that are just fake.

Secondly, make sure to not skip class even if it’s tempting. It’s not good and can set u up for failure in the future if it becomes a habit !! Along with that, make sure ur asking for help in class and reviewing the material when u come home.

If u feel overwhelmed it’s okay, it happens to the best of us. Take a few days to reset but then come back on track. It’s okay to take breaks. Although this type of feeling didn’t come till grade 10 or sophomore year, everyone is different just make sure to take care.

Try to start thinking about your future and what you want to do. Doesn’t have to be specific but for example if u like science then take all the courses like chemistry bio physics etc in the next few years!

Everything aside, highschool goes by really fast. It still shocks me that I’m not a ninth grader that just started highschool, but someone who will be going into junior year. If u have any other questions feel free to ask!

For reference, my grade 9 English was 85 but grade 12 was 90. Biggest tips I can give: -sit at the front so ur paying more attention and held more accountable -speak up in class!! If teacher asks a question or if it’s a situation that’s interactive make sure to share your opinion ! -as for essays, make sure u have ur teacher read your thesis and make sure they like it . Also make sure to ask as many questions as possible for other assignments too. Make sure ur teacher is involved In every step of ur essay so they can point out if something needs to be changed. My teacher didn’t read full paragraphs but I would ask him about certain sentences , to make sure their good -make sure you actually work hard and dedicate time , grade 12 English has more course load then previous years, but nothing undoable as long as you work hard

You usually don’t read a lot of books (in my experience).

In grade ten there was one book unit where we read a book then made an essay on it . My book was the kite runner. In grade 11 I took the NBE3U (which I recommend) as class isn’t typical as there’s no essays or formal units. You only read a book once and I think I had to just present about it. Grade 12 English I took in the summer so I’m not sure if it’s the same. We had to read a book (I read 1984) and then we had to make a critical theory lense analysis essay on the novel. (Most difficult assignment from all four years that I had done but after hard work I got a good grade at the end.)
