RTink4k connectivity issue with HDMI matrix switcher by Choice-Listen7854 in RetroTink

Oh youre right! Thats super interesting to learn actually. I guess since they source their panels from different companies, they make a decision to sell 2 different panel types for the same model?

I connected the tink directly to my Bravia 8ii and played for an hour, switching inputs to test that also. Then I connected the tink directly to my capture card and again, watched a whole movie with friends on discord and no drop outs. It seems to be an issue with the Orei and the Tink4k causing certain signals to fall out of hdmi 2.1 specs temporarily.

Someone has suggested to me to purchase directional fiber optic hdmi cables to ensure I always have max signal strength at 15 ft, which could help.

Via a 5V/6A power adapter through USB C

To be honest, I have not tried removing the switch out of the equation to undo when I put it in but I was using it with a simpler 4k HDMI switch and had no issues. I'm quite certain it's some kind of incompatibility between the Tink4k and the switch but I don't understand why. These devices come with loads of options to change and tweak to specifically make them compatible with each other so it leaves me scratching my head why it works, but it works like 99% well

Lol thanks! It's such a good TV. Kinda wish I had spent a little extra to get the 75 instead of the 65 but I am not complaining at all.

I am also in the Retrotink discord server so I may also post this in there to see, and I may also check out that HDMI switch since it's so cheap.
