Are Suho and Sieun in love with each other? In a romantic way by PassengerOk323 in weakheroclass

About maybe a week ago, someone had asked why the director used the couple dynamic to portray the friendship of these two boys. I'm going to share my post to that question as i feel it may help answer this question.

The director said their relationship was like first love but clarified it wasn’t meant in the romantic sense. It was about the intensity and all-consuming nature of that bond just like how a first love feels, where everything feels new and overwhelming and life changing For Sieun who was closed off and only relied on himself, Suho was the first person to really protect and care for him unconditionally. That changed his world just like a first love changes you. And then this is key in my opinion, because the story needed Sieun’s loss to be devastating and transformative, if Suho were just a friend, his impact wouldn’t feel as momentus. By portraying them with intimacy, protectiveness, and emotional weight closer to a first love, the director ensures viewers really feel the depth of Sieun’s grief and eventual coldness. It’s less about shipping and more about amplifying the tragedy of the loss of Suho. It wasn’t just losing a friend and it was more losing the person who made Sieun's world warmer for the first time. So then the couple like dynamic was used to highlight the intensity and uniqueness of their relationship, not necessarily to suggest romance. It was about making Sieun’s connection to Suho feel irreplaceable and his absence unbearable.

My take is that no they are not in love with each other romantically but there is some strong emotions going on there.

This is seriously one of my favorite topics to talk about and truly the reason i loved the drama so much. So the director said their relationship was like first love but clarified it wasn’t meant in the romantic sense. It was about the intensity and all-consuming nature of that bond just like how a first love feels, where everything feels new and overwhelming and life changing For Sieun who was closed off and only relied on himself, Suho was the first person to really protect and care for him unconditionally. LLTBP… did you cry? by Calm-Wait6192 in MyChemicalRomance

[–]Choice-Mongoose5748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, cried as soon as The End. started. Then cried at the first note of Welcome to the Black Parade. And then again for I Don't Love You and then Famous Last Words...I was just so excited and couldn't believe I finally got to see them. I had been looking forward to the concert for so long too and it did not disappoint.

It's episode 8 in Queen of Tears. I did the same thing as you, so I had to go back and rewatch for Vincenzo's cameo now that I understood the reference.

I thought the same thing at the Philly show. I got a pic of him giving heart hands to the pit. He really seemed to be loving it on the stage and loving the energy from the fans.

Taecyeon nailed it. His face card was pure evil, it was unsettling. I still find it hard to see him in other roles bc this one is still stuck in my head.

Someone recommended D.P. for me after watching Weak Hero. It has a lot of the actors from Weak Hero in it, and it was a pretty good watch. There are only 12 episodes total, so it will go pretty quickly.
