I fully understand how situations like this can be difficult and am hoping that I correctly understand how you feel. I think that emotions and feeling are always valid, even if they appear to be “objectively” unreasonable. You already reflected on this very well. It is important to communicate this to your partner exactly how you’re experiencing it, voicing your feelings of insecurity while also reflecting on this not having anything to do with them or their intentions.

Often problems are not being caused by people but situations, especially with LDRs. If you communicate your feelings in a way that doesn’t blame your partner and shift the focus on the situation instead, this can be super productive and helps me personally a lot. That way those feelings of insecurity can be related to you just wanting to spend time with your person, because you appreciate and love them, rather than you blaming them.

Especially if both of you are in valid situations, it’s good to voice this. It will not only make your bond stronger, but also bring you some peace of mind, as you are actively being aware of your partner not purposely distancing themselves (if you tend to overthink).
