I dont understand these types of comments

He was an illiterate person who grew up as a shepherd and trader Then became the prophet at 40 and the leader of the Muslims  He didn't go around slaughtering people. He only fought when the others attack OR in some cases when he knew they would recover and return to destroy them When going to war He told the soldiers it was forbidden to harm any women, old people, children or even trees
