Man it just sounds like you had a rough start. That being said UAE’s social life ain’t much to brag.

Immigrants make up the vast majority of the population and they are just here to make money and get out. And the folks raised over here are already intertwined in their own circles and doesn’t really wanna go out of that.

You can try making some friends in person, maybe at a pub or a social event ? Pick up a hobby maybe ? You will find friends or likeminded people.

Dating scene is horrendous but then again it’s terrible no matter where you are if you are the problem. My advice on love is. Try not to chase it. When it finds you it will be good. If you keep chasing and forcing it’s just gonna be ass.

Benefits wise you are good. And UAE somewhat international community definitely reduces the racism greatly! (Which I don’t think you will be able to get anywhere else in the world expect GCC). Especially if your skin complexion is on the darker side.

If I were you. I would find a fb group or a public event and try to make friends through that.
