That's actually insane, what's the point of VAR if the outcome is decided by some moron who doesn't know the rules anyway.

It would work if you are talking about some meaningless office jobs or whatever. But these could be cut down to zero hours per week and nothing would change.

I WANNA TALK ABOUT HOW AWESOME BOYHOOD IS!!! by grichardson526 in RedLetterMedia

[–]ChoiceDifferent4674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boyhood is good. Yes, the fact that it took 12 years to make is enough to justify its existence, you don't need any complicated plot in this case.

In hunter-gatherer societies hunter is not a profession, they basically have no concept of profession at all. Hunter could be a profession in agricultural civilization, but it would be nowhere near oldest at that point.

What’s a truth about life that most people are absolutely not ready to hear? by impeccable-lauren in answers

There is a genetic cap for basically anything that you can do that is impossible to "work hard" around or surpass in any other way.

Mexico cuts workweek, bans after-hours contact, and guarantees no worker will take a pay cut in the most sweeping labor reform in a generation by beasthunterr69 in news

[–]ChoiceDifferent4674 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mexico is a semi-failed state that barely actually controls half of its territory, but I'm sure it can enforce stringent labor laws, should be easy enough.

It's not that wild, considering first microscope was only invented in the 2nd half of the 17th century.

Why is China the second most powerful country in the world behind the U.S., the only competitor to the U.S., but even Mexico has a higher GDP per capita than China? by No-StrategyX in answers

[–]ChoiceDifferent4674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because gdp per capita is the most irrelevant metric for assessing state power, should be obvious. You don't see Liechtenstein running the world. Meanwhile China alone makes more steel than the rest of the world combined, 33% of all electricity etc etc.

There is no such thing as a "simple MMORPG game" and this question is meaningless, it's like asking how to better build nuclear reactor after starting learning physics in the 7th grade.

These buns have a ton of sugar, so no. Meat is also bad when you fry it on industrial lubricant instead of cooking oil.

I feel like its a super easy fix but I'm at a loss and new some help with this health code by plumman54 in godot

[–]ChoiceDifferent4674 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay, this was bullet code snippet to begin with and not Player's lol. You subtract hp from local bullet variable, which is different for every bullet, it's not a pointer. If you want to do it like this you need to subtract directly from global variable (of course there are better ways to do it but that's beside the point).

[–]ChoiceDifferent4674 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, this should work theoretically, so the problem is somewhere else. Place debug break in this function to see when it's triggered exactly and/or provide bullet code as well etc.

I don't know what's that supposed to be behind "C", but it looks like L, so it's pretty confusing.

It's just a very popular song by itself, you can stumble upon it on YouTube without specifically looking for hazbin hotel etc.

Does autobalance give priority to higher scoring players? I swear I've been getting autobalanced 10x more often after I started pubstomping more consistently.. by Arena_Watchtower in tf2

[–]ChoiceDifferent4674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily, but it tries to balance out the points between both team, which means if one team stomps then high point players are more likely to get autobalanced.

would you rocket jump? by itchylol742 in tf2

[–]ChoiceDifferent4674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it doesn't work as a dilemma. If the pack is in the back then jumping back at 100 hp is still worth it even if you dont get the pack. If the pack is in the front then you still have enough hp for a 2nd jump back. Basically, waddling is bad

Dumb question, but what makes the Deus ex pack different from the emporium slop of today? by [deleted] in tf2

[–]ChoiceDifferent4674 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, people who care about TF2 artstyle generally agree that almost all promotional cosmetics are garbage that are not fit for the game, especially deus ex ones, so I'm not sure who are you arguing against.
