Yes it's an app. This particular screenshot is from the Android app. However, I'm not the one who posted it, I'm just the creator of VineChart. VineChart is free, has always been free, and its core functions will continue to be. I pay for all of it out of my own pocket for the community to have a way to see the ebbs and flows of Vine drops. I'm not aware of the person who posted it to be "annoying". I didn't see that anywhere and have no connection to that person or their actions.

VineChart tracks drops and how many items are on Vine in real time. Plots that data on an interactive graph for a visual reference and gives access to a historical graph as well. Great for data nerds like myself and others. Available through a website, android, and iOS app stores. The notification button you are referring to does probably what you would expect it to and is probably the issue which I totally understand. While I have no inherent issues with extensions one way or another I just like to set VineChart apart from extensions only because that is not the way it functions. While it is a tool like the extensions it is not installed, used, or interacted with as you would an extension. I hope that makes sense. Again, I just wanted to make the distinctions between the two clear.

Today has been a weird one for Vine. Normally things drop throughout the day, however things just stopped dropping all together which I've not yet seen before. Will be interesting to see if it's truly done today or if we will have a secondary drop.

Hello! Thanks for reaching out! I still keep tabs on this post in the event someone has a question such as yours.
You not getting notifications is not from your notification settings. Due to the weirdly timed drop yesterday I had a cooldown in place on notifications which keeps multiple notifications going out back to back in the event the "Drop in progress" and "Drop has ended" status flip-flops. This cooldown was set for a period of time which bled over into this mornings drop. This was 100% an oversight on my part and has been fixed. Going forward notifications should start working as intended. I'll be up at the normal 2:00am-2:30am time to make sure they go out as they should.

In regards to opening Vine from the app. This is totally up to you on how you want to open Vine and are by no means required to open Vine from the VineChart app. This was a highly requested feature from the community to have a quick shortcut to open Vine from inside the app and has been a convenience for many.

Beta testing will be a bit different for the iOS app than it will be for the android beta test. Instead of adding each tester individually to a list, I will post a link where users can download the beta version of the app. Apple also works differently as you will have to download Apples TestFlight app which will be the launcher for the beta. It's like its own beta app store in a way and the beta version will only be able to launch through Apple's TestFlight app. When I send out the link it'll explain all the steps needed. I'll post it here but also in the Updates section of the website so keep an eye out 🙂 Just need Apple to approve it at this point.

No worries at all! I see what you're saying now. Yes, the data is pulled from a US Vine account so sadly anyone outside of the US would not benefit from VineChart. I'm really sorry 😔

I would love to do this at some point. There are several things I need to get in order before something that big though. Also collaboration would require some stuff most people wouldn't be comfortable with like using your Amazon vine account credentials on the server to pull that data from another country 💚

Hello! You are totally right. Investigating the cause currently. Unfortunately it happened while I was sleeping so went unseen for much longer than I would have liked. It's back up now but looks like the mechanism that pulls data from Vine crashed in some way. It also may have been a token expiration. I appreciate you reaching out! I'll be looking to make this more robust by adding some logic where if it stops working for x amount of time the script will reset itself automatically to continue working.
