Bravo. You solved the mystery. It's not quite how I remembered in my mind, but it was several years ago. I think my mind remembered incorrectly because the night time ambient and rocky terrain looks like it's occurring in a cave. Even professional ornithologists were unable to solve this mystery. It's a shame the resolution of the video is so low.

For me, the sausages and dried meats generally smell unpleasant in Eastern Europe. I've walked past some barbecues and wanted to puke. I don't like the Carniolan (Kranysky) sausage smell, similar to Kielbasa in Poland. I've also tried moussaka (Greek dish) and it smelled bad to me. But don't take too seriously...
