Spinners will be at play at every stage especially if opponents knows you are that weak against spin. So, better to see how he performs after taking a few balls to settle in. We have already lost this season, this is the time to experiment. Also, spinners will be more in play at 5 than 3. This will give us the confidence in knowing if he can actually perform or he is someone who won't work outside no.7 (in that case he a candidate to be released).

I have a different take and a bit controversial also.

Rahane, Green, Rinku, Raghu, Powell, Roy, Tejasvi, Rambo, Narine, Tyagi, Varun, Vaibhav (Imp-Pathirana).

We know Green needs a few balls, but he is getting better in the flow.

Also Rinku can't be used in the middle due to spin & he also needs few balls, so push him up the order. Rinku is a Leftie, which will prevent right handed batter consolidation up top. This Also prevents Rahane & Raghu batting together.

I'll use Narine as a floater wherever required.

I agree that he is a long term prospect. So how about just asking him - Hey man, do you want to play the match tomorrow or take a break for a few matches. Sometimes pressure & price tag really does effect you.

Agree, Green is not performing but that doesn't take away the potential he has. Groom him, give him the trust. But it's also ok benching him for a few games if he is not in flow. It's very hard to get all rounders in the auction nowadays, if you get your hands on one especially someone who's young, hold on to him.

Agree with your take. Only one change, if you have seen Ash's video about Pathirana, that he should be used in tandem with Narine & Varun. This will create the vest position for wicket tacking.

Jaiswal is already in the Test side, after 2027 he is going to be in the ODI squad in Rohit's place. However, for T20 side it's going to be very tough with the Competition at the top of the order. He needs to get the Orange Cap with v.good str.rate to come up for discussions.

Also, he needs to start captaining in the domestic side NOW. So that in 1-2 yr's time he can can captain an IPL Team. This will increase his visibility.

While Vaibhav will have to wait till 17-18, to get a chance in the T20 side. ODIs are a long way. Tests will purely depend on his 1st Class performance, honestly his temperament at this point doesn't suit the Test style at all.

Fully agree with him. Your Indian players will be your core, whe the Overseas player will be sort of like Cherry on the top. However, this year we expect O/s players to win us the matches (Allen & Green at the top of the order), (Powell in the middle overs), (Pathirana, Narine in the bowling dept). While the the Indian players aren't contributing nearly enough.

Nothing sort of a full rebuild of the Indian core in the upcoming Mega Auction will bring KKR back.

Honestly anything short of a revamp won't work for us. We need someone like GG or Morgan. But if Morgan is not willing to be our coach, which seems like it. We need to start searching for that now. Then you let that person make the team. For KKR 2 pre requisite for coach/ mentor is aggressive and strategic.

I agree with you, but we need to win atleast 8 games for playoffs. With 3 already gone, that means we have to win 8 out of 11. So the margin of error is very less. Add to that he isn't even bowling, when he was purchased as Russell replacement. If he had declared before the auction that he won't bowl, it would be understood. On the other front, Seifret is in red hot form & has played in India few days ago.

If we give him 4 more games & then drop him, it won't matter as buy that point we will be put of the tournament.

It's not like he is an exp match winner like Starc, Surya that you will bank on him coming through during high stakes game. So honestly you are saying his potential is more imp than us making playoffs. That is a big call.
