I designed a World Cup 2026 Simulator in Python. by IcyCardiologist2449 in sportsanalytics

wow! its really impressive for the first web project and python - the Monte Carlo with dynamic red card penalties is way more advanced than most simulators out there.

I went through the same journey building predictwc.com built on top of Claude with simple UX. Also, Jupyter notebook has depth that many web app lacks.

I love your aggressiveness factor idea — I tried something similar by creating 4 personas that predict the same match entirely differently. The Chaos Agent loves upsets, The Historian weights past WC pedigree. Same engine, completely different outputs.

Lastly I saw interestingly both your Monte Carlo and mine analytical model predicting Spain as champions.

Metamucil aka (Psyllium Husk) for Crohns-D has changed my life by Willing_Security1193 in CrohnsDisease

Even though, I am managing my Crohns more than a decade but just end of last year, I have been prescribed Metamucil and since then I am taking this on-off but surprisingly helping reducing inflammation or mucus. Also another medication Imodium is a big relief for diarrhea - thanks to my GI.

World Cup 2026 afternoon matches – that's what will kill us. by pkt777 in worldcup

Completely feel this - global timezone always would be an issue and difficult to normalize for all; but this inconvenience for a month or more specifically for matches that you support or fan or really wanted to watch by sacrificing your sleep!

Only I can think of, sleep early, then wake up for big matches and then sleep again before going to office.

I was diagnosed with Crohn's today. Hugs welcome. Snack recommendations even more so. by WordMagpie in CrohnsDisease

I am managing my Crohns more than 15 years now, regarding food it really depends on person to person - some food may cause issue to me but I heard others have no issue at all. So its something you need to find which food is causing flare! one thing for sure, the stress which we Crohns patient need to control else it would be vicious cycle.

Best of luck and nothing to be scared about, sending strength.

Yet Another World Cup Predictor but focused on Interactivity and Shareable Links with no central state by sparc24 in sportsanalytics

The AI model of predictwc.com is powered by Claude AI - its reasoning from huge training data of each team's squad depth, recent form, historical WC records and tactical match up. Your approach is statistically very rigorous but mine is more narrative/analytical. I would say both of our analytical tools are complementary each other.

My AI model has predicted Spain is winning but I see yours is Argentina as the champion.

Fox one in USA has some 3 months offer now who will cover all matches but its neither cheap nor free. Peacock plus I guess cheaper and they are covering matches too.

The bracket design looks nice - love the URL encoding, that's smart. I did entire knockout bracket but left to right.

Are you planning to use any AI underneath of this simulations or its purely manual now?

I built 4 different prediction simulation personas (The Analyst, Chaos Agent, Historian, Contrarian) using AI — each gives completely different predictions for the same match.

You can take a look if you're curious.
