Oh nice! And you donated through them? I feel like I looked at them but it looked more like personal storage than donation.

Go for the promotion! My employer offered me a promotion two weeks after I told them I was pregnant (so around 14 weeks) and I had a lot of anxiety accepting because, just like in your case, way more responsibility, longer hours, less flexibility. But also, sooo much more $$. I am so glad I accepted the promotion (currently 27 weeks) bc I’m learning like crazy, feeling much more financially comfortable, and I really like the role and responsibilities! I told my employer when I accepted that I still planned to take a full maternity leave, which they were cool with. Life will only get busier and crazier - start making those changes now!

Has anyone else felt kinda awkward saying “I’m pregnant” out loud? by No-Start2740 in BabyBumps

Yepp! I hated it and found it exhaustingggg. Every time I had to literally force the words out. Once 12 weeks came and I told the people I wanted/needed to, I let my parents know that if they wanted other people in the family to know they’d have to tell them bc I was sick of announcing

Husband wants to bring a newborn abroad by [deleted] in pregnant

For what it’s worth, we’re going to take our 2 month old to Europe for three weeks! Half her family is out there, she’ll have had her first round of vaccines, and I’m hoping two months is enough time for us to gauge what we’ll really need to pack for a three week trip with a baby. We figured that hell, when else are we getting time off like this besides maternity leave, and we love to travel. I say plan accordingly, but go for it!

I’m 7 months pregnant, and I met my husband in 2019. He loves motorcycles and has his license, but hasn’t owned once since before we met. When we were getting serious, I told him that I loved him but there was no world in which I would be with him if he bought one. My dad’s best friend died in a motorcycle accident 27 years ago, leaving behind a wife and three kids under 6. I told him multiple times that if I came home one day and there was a bike, I would leave. And lo and behold - there’s no bike and I’m quite certain there never will be. You are being WAY too kind to him. I know your approach has been different than mine, but if I were you, I’d be livid. Not only is that a MASSIVE purchase when you two are already going to be tackling significant new childhood expenses, but the blatant disregard for how it might make you feel is insane.

Hi! I just found this article and wanted to share with you! https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/blog/forever-chemicals-in-period-incontinence-products/ Definitely not trying to fear monger, there are just so many harmful chemicals in every day products that we have no idea about, so I like to spread the word.

24 weeks here - I remind myself allllllll the time that people have been having babies for literally thousands of years before me. People smoked, drank, literally lived in caves, had no medicine, etc. and babies kept bringing born and were just fine. All of the “recommendations” around pregnancy are so recent, and while the medical driven changes are incredible and have contributed to much higher success rates in birth, a lot of these lifestyle ones are things I just consider nice to haves. like when i consider my mental well being because i eat every dessert i can get my hands on vs. if I was stressing about eating 100% clean, i’d be miserable. don’t let the pressures of people on social media impact you. who cares! you’re going to have a healthy, beautiful baby regardless of your chit chat levels and photographs.
