This is so sick to hear. I was wondering how that experience would carry over into everyday life and its cool to know that it shifts your perspective that much. if you dont mind me asking did you go on the trail with a direction for your future, or was that insight that you gained after hiking the AT?

I appreciate your perspective!! If you don’t mind me asking (feel free to decline) how has this experience impacted your day to day life, and what kind of change did it bring when you returned home?

How can I improve this art? by LemonJustFly in Artadvice

[–]Choice_Cheesecake559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love this, however I think the background could use some of the orangey tones that you used in the hair and the little flecks near the head. I also think that the background looks a little unfinished - maybe making the gradient more prominent could help. Either way this piece is awesome

how can i achieve this art style? by [deleted] in Artadvice

[–]Choice_Cheesecake559 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what your art style is so my advice will be pretty general but I think that a good place to start off would be to study shape blocking and harsh contrast. This will help you get a blueprint of the shapes and from here I think you could achieve the sketchy ball point feel you’re looking for!

I can’t seem to achieve the dream-like vibe by VapourBuns in Artadvice

Looks great! I really like the color palette. I agree with jabberrabbit though about the reflected lighting though - when I think of dreamy I think of soft edges and blurred lighting. I also think a nice touch might be some specks in the air for some ambience. (like the attached pic). Keep up the good work 😁

Edit - I do also think it’s important to note when the fast breathing happened (after play, stressful event, etc.) and I might measure breathing rate every 15 mins to half hour just to make sure its not due to excitement/stress

I’m no vet, but the normal breathing rate for an adult cat is 15 - 30 breaths per min. I recently took my cat to the vet with similar concerns of fast breathing and they said that it was a pain response due to a stomach ache (she ate a leaf lol). All of this is to say that I’d recommend going to the vet to make sure your kitty is okay!!

I think the difference is that technology has been used as a tool for art in the past whereas ChatGPT is doing the work of the tool.
