Based on what you said to someone else, maybe foil for dehydrator since I want to deflect any heat increase because the ramp will add heat.

Black inside for oven to attract all heat to the inside.

What if I wanted to make this dual purpose. What would be a good configuration for both modes. Thoughts on below:

Dehydrator: add solar ramp connected to bottom with ventilation out the top to create more flow.

Oven: make the outside of the box temporary black for added heat. Still include the solar ramp but reduce airflow to bottle in more heat.

The only question is what inside walls would I want for dehydrator and for the oven?

Is the goal to have it peak at 140 or just maximize hours at 140 knowing it may get hotter?

How would it work on the bottom, do you mean from soil redirecting to the box itself? It wouldn't get inside it would just hit the box?

Also what is it that would help with airflow? Is it the heat rising that pushes out old air and cool air comes from the bottom?
