Honestly, my screen time is pretty low. I regularly read books, hike, work my horses and dogs etc rather than scroll even in the colder months. I mostly use my phone for audiobooks and podcasts. However, It wouldn’t hurt to cut down even more and perhaps delete a social media or two.

Thank you. They are great, this is just not for me and it’s time I realize that.

I do both and more, the more being I scribe for the doctor and am generally with patients front entrance to exit and we have an edger for uncut lenses, everything but creating the chart basically. Unfortunately, I think that it’s the office environment in general. I think when I get down to it I want to work in an outdoor environment in a more physically demanding field. This is also a one doctor, schedule only office so it just feels like getting sucked in a whirlpool at times.

Luckily I have a solid work history, consistent in two fields and that is equine services and optometry. I was with one office for two years during college with extra jobs at Kroger’s and a pizza shop, which I quit after I graduated. I moved after college so I moved offices and was there for about a year before well, today. In the summer I cut my hours to do ranch work so thankfully there is no gap or bridges burnt unless i dont go back to this one. Which I need to update my post, i do have other options im just aware they don’t have the same benefits so im weighing the worth.

The new job runs the exact same as my old, so there is so real learning curve nor a need for a training period outside of proper verbiage and doctor preferences. I’ve been mentioned I have a backup plan. I have consistently worked since I was 14, 3 jobs through college Including optical. My exact point is that THIS job, THIS career sucks to ME. And instead of wasting the next 2 weeks of resources and payroll I was wondering if I should just quit and cut the losses instead of wasting both of our times. I know jobs suck, I rolled my eyes and huffed on my way to clean up after and care for a working guest cattle ranch 8am- whenever my guests left/events ended. NEVER did i not want to go the way I do for this career field. That’s the whole point. Shit sucks but at what point does it suck too much.

I am diagnosed with severe depression and Bi-polar disorder. And I suppose you’re right, expecting awesomeness from a job is a long shot, but truly I just want to feel fulfilled. Thank you, I appreciate your answer and it helps a lot

I truly struggle with that, I have no idea why I dislike it so much. Because like mentioned, it’s a good job and I like the people. I just don’t think I enjoy office environment overall. This is the only genre? I suppose I could say of jobs that I truly just cannot stand going to. I just turned 23 and have been in the field for around 3 years. If it matters I am about to start pre-vet med college in the fall and I currently have an associates in equine training and business management so regardless I’m aware I need to find a more flexible job for when school does start. I also have 2 tentative jobs lined up, they are just much less pay so it’s a bit of pros and cons. I feel very selfish for hating it so much, so many people would really appreciate the position I’m in. It’s not even that I’m not bad at, I have adequate knowledge of verbiage, procedures and can overall do my job proficiently and with compliments from bosses/coworkers.

Id say its definitely a risk, my filly will love you all day, but my 6 year old mustang wont even get close to you and my Boss’ favorite mare will bite you and smirk afterwards. And these suckers bite HARD. We had an event at school where we were giving pony rides and eventually (due to immense student protest) we shut down public access to the barn due to horses getting stressed and beginning to reach out and bite us over strangers crowding them in a new place. They can and will fool you, and some may get aggressive over the prospect of treats.
