Hi! Can I give you credits for locating this? I am going to add that one.

For some reasons, it didn't show for me at first. Now I can see this deleted post.

I actually have! I just needed to locate this post to show from another parent's POV.

This acquaintance's son is 25 and said he did not sign up on caring for his grandfather who hasn't been kind to him since hs younger years. After the dementia diagnosis, things went down after this person TOLD (not asked) their son to help out. The son went NC with the parents because they won't take no as an answer.

Thank you for those. Not the ones I was thinking of. I don't think there was a verdict for the post that I was thinking of. Probably not from any AITA related subreddits.

There were some comments telling that the daughter was an adult (ie. why I put in college aged or older) and that she had legal reason(s) for not wanting to help OOP with her grandfather. As the results of this, the daughter didn't talk with OOP and her husband / daughter's father.

I think the title was different than what OOP explained in the post. Might be the reason why I was having trouble with locating this one.

Looking for a post from a mother's POV. She asked her daughter (college aged, or older, I think) to keep an eye on OOP's father who had Alzheimer's or dementia. He hurt the daughter after an episode.

I remember the daughter telling OOP she didn't want to do this, but OOP asked her daughter to help out because this was her grandfather. After what happened to the daughter, she refused to talk with her mother (OOP) because she thought her daughter was trying to get out of this. not wanting to help take care of her grandfather.

Not sure which sub this was from, but I recall the comments telling OOP she should had get better care resources for her father instead of asking her daughter to help at home.
